Did I hear on R4 that William Blake’s very faint doodles have been found on copper plates?

The Blake Society is well-funded and organised the last few years, so lots of things are turning up/happening around him.

They found his actual grave (and Catherine's) in Bunhill Row, rather than the commemorative (but incorrect) location in the same cemetery. Catherine is starting to get the recognition she deserves now as well.

Massive exhibition at The Tate around 5 years ago - biggest collection ever shown under one roof.

So I think you're probably right - Blake stuff is happening more than ever.

I love the fact that Jerusalem, his bitter, sardonic poem about (among other things) the ills of early industrial capitalism, gets sung by many people from unthinking English patriotism, rather than the criticism and lament he intended.

High irony.

Transsexual Transylvania

My mum and dad, my great aunt, the younger of my brothers and my wife.

They've all passed, and I'd love to see them all again, one last time.

😢
