Why vanilla?

Why not mashed potato or drizzle? Vanilla is a fabulously exotic spice, that comes to us in 'pods'. Such a sexy word itself. What other word could we use to describe a boring sex life other than poor, wonderful Vanilla.

I think it's more to do with the flavour. It's quite gentle and lots of people like it. Versatile. Sweet in a way.

I'm saying stick with vanilla. A really good custard with vanilla speckled through it is a beautiful thing.
