"We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Manchester on Wednesday for Chris Stapleton concert, got back to the room with a fair amount of drinks and had sex on the bed with curtains open and room lights on, realised next morning that student flat accommodation is right across from the hotel and apartments look right into our rooms. Don't mind people watching but hope no pics were taken " Don't worry all the pics were very tasteful and you both looked sexy as hell

It does depend what events are happening in the area at the time, as to the demand for rooms, so price hikes can occur. Booking in advance with the Flexsaver option I find works well | |||

Quite often the budget hotels don't readily appear on those sites because they want to try and drive people to book direct through them. In contrast the "nicer" hotels can appear and if you have notice, it's more than possible to find a good deal through one that's cheaper than the budget option. As an example I recently stayed at a 5* hotel in central London. It was £46 cheaper than the closest Premier Inn. I don't think I can name sites to visit on the forums but they are out there.
