Time wasters!

Why is this site RIDDLED with timewasters?

The latest one, I engage with someone through messages (I always send face pic on first message), then ask for a face pic in return only for them to delete the thread 🤣

Why waste both of our time?

I just really don’t get it.

I totally get the first message being deleted if I’m not to their liking, but why engage to start with 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't see this as time wasting... nothing is guaranteed or promised from exchanging a fee messages. I've had people stop replying to my messages just as I have stopped replying if I'm not feeling it.

To me time-wasting would be if I had arranged to meet up with someone and they ghosted / didn't show...

When I've done this. It's because if we are interested I usually ask if they have read our profile. In our profile it explains that we can't share face pictures. Than they ask for one. At first I was polite and addressed, but after a while and frustration I started deleting.

But the outcome would have been the same - no more conversation and no meet - so by that logic would have wasted the same amount of time.

Maybe it wasn't about the face pic. Maybe it was something said. Maybe they just changed their mind. You'll never know, but it's not time wasting, it's life.

Any conversation is time invested. And as they always say, the value of investments can go down as well as up and you may lose everything you've invested. 🤷‍♂️

I think there are many definitions of time wasting on here and I'm not sure how accurate they are!

People have the right to change their mind at any point. No one should feel they can't.

While some might be comfortable enough to tell someone, others may not so they delete or block or ghost instead.

Unfortunately it comes with the territory of meeting people online.

Oh boy… if you think this is ‘wasted time’ I’ve got some terrible news for you…

Sitting at the bar waiting for a social appointment - no show.

At the hotel having paid for the room - radio silence.

Having driven to the Post Code as instructed - followed by no responses to messages to provide the street and house number.

This is ‘time’ wasting.

Simply disconnecting from a message exchange is par for the course here.

You need to toughen up princess, thicker skin, water off a ducks back etc. etc.

The peril of anything online is "you don't know who's on the other side of the screen". They are ultimetly nothing more than a picture or two, a few videos perhaps, a few typed words and whatever you imagine in your head.

Most of it is "not real". The real bit comes if and when you meet. That's when you really know if somethings going to happen or not.

Only.way to avoid any of the time wasting is to reinvest your time better. Go to clubs and social events. Meet people for real. You can cut all the above out just by walking up to someone and saying hello. See how they respond, read theor body language etc and go from there.

Personally (and this is just me) I've found that if I can make a woman blush and / or laugh within 5 mins of meeting, then chances are, she's intrested at some level. Even if it's just chatting and hanging out (you don't have to bang everyone you meet).

We get face pics most of them the fact is we NEVER asked for that and they expect one in return lol. They get a block.

We raely ask for a face pic unless seriously interested BUT I always make clear you will NOT be getting ours - it is their choice and we've met a few guys over they years like this

The best thing to do when meeting someone and not timewasters is - see if they have had meets - a good pointer IMO

We get many dozens of messages and at times, some, even with one or two exchanges of messages expect a meet, lol.

So many timewasters her in different ways

How do you know they didn't delete the thread by mistake? I frequently do this on my mobile. Maybe they didn't have a suitable face photo available at that time or didn't feel comfortable sharing one at that point in the conversation.

The whole point of chatting is to see if you want to take things further. Chatting does not mean a Fabster is guaranteed a sexual meet.

The end result was the same - no pic and no meet. So I'm unclear how a 'sorry, changed our minds' would have been any less of a time wasting outcome for you given that the outcome was the exactly the same.

Im not sure you're a timewaster if you just aren't attracted to them after seeing a pic.

Youre definitely a timewaster if you arrange a meeting and don't show up. Or if you go missing a day or two before a meet.

Unfortunately this does seem to be a lots worse now x

It's essential to have realistic expectations here. Most people will never be mutually compatible with most other people. Factor this in to your expectations,

1 person chats and there's an incredible likelihood that the people who they are speaking with are not mutually compatible. They did not waste anybody's time whilst they were discovering whether they were compatible! It may be the facial attraction, physical lack of interest, sexual activities preferences, sexual orientation, availability, location etc. You will NOT be compatible with almost all of the people you engage with.

Nobody is a timewaster for exploring possible interest.

That's not a time waster,

Sorting out a meet, then disappearing on the day, or when you're all dressed up and waiting in a car park for an address, and waiting and waiting...

I think there should be a "Thanks, but No Thanks" button, that doesn't allow any more contact, would save a lot of time.

I wouldn't class that as a time waster, they just changed their mind.

I see time wasters as those who arrange to meet, knowing they have no intention of turning up. Or give fake addresses out etc.

The whole point of taking time to chat for me is that I can then decide if they're for me or not. They can also do the same and stop chatting if they're not into it.

Yeah I can understand that, I guess I’d just rather be told they’ve changed their mind.

"Why is this site RIDDLED with timewasters?

The latest one, I engage with someone through messages (I always send face pic on first message), then ask for a face pic in return only for them to delete the thread 🤣

Why waste both of our time? "

That’s not time wasting. They either didn’t fancy you or didn’t want to send their face.

I didn’t explain very well. We had engaged in several messages before I asked for a face pic. The chat was good and she’d seen me from the first message, then as soon as I ask, “poof” gone

I just really don’t get it.

I totally get the first message being deleted if I’m not to their liking, but why engage to start with 🤷🏻‍♂️"

Could have been the conversation content

Could have been just no longer a fit

They just decided thsg you were not what they were looking for.

Don't even think about it.

It's just how the internet age is.

Bloke having a wank. False profile. Chin up

😂 even on a verified profile? "

Agreed.... I usually block those asking and who have no real intentions of actually meeting me. I've never required one in return. I'll gladly meet if theirs a connection doesn't mean I'll fuck them if not fully compatible.

It is a very human need to want to be seen. It is just a shame that so many people can no longer look at things from another's frame of reference.

I'm unsure how it's time wasting though. Surely an exchange of messages, however lengthy, is how most people initially determine compatibility. If either party decides at any point that the other is not what they're looking for the exchange of messages ends. This is what happened. Your issue may be with how they brought that exchange to a close, but I fail to see how they are a time waster.

"When I've done this. It's because if we are interested I usually ask if they have read our profile. In our profile it explains that we can't share face pictures. Than they ask for one. At first I was polite and addressed, but after a while and frustration I started deleting. You get meets without sharing face pics?

YesWell just so you know I wouldn't be one ,sorry if that offends but I would have thought most people would like to have attraction before they meet ,unless you are NSA quick F&G meets ....I didn't see them ask you tbh . ?my reply wasn't about them asking it was about attraction ,was trying to understand who would meet without attraction but obviously some do ."

If you read their profile you will see it's very clearly laid out how they determine attraction. Many many people prefer to do the same and arrange a social meet rather than rely on an exchange of face photos

Covent Garden

My dear young squire - this unfortunate place is awash with those who are horologically challenged and unfit to maintain any form of clockwork timing.

In this hallowed place the only faces that should be exchanged in messages are clock faces. Let them send you theirs first; never attached one until there is some maturity in the chat. If they deleted your message then they didn't find your chronometer appealing. This is life. Accept it and move on.

Well a social meet is I guess fine but I still wouldn't meet socially unless I'd seen a face pic got caught out too many times not to and what's the point of travelling to a social meet and having no attraction, that is literally a waste of time .If I had been chatting for a long time and we appeared to get on I might consider it but not for a complete stranger .

Couples get time wasters too. They contact us with absolutely no intention of meeting, just just want to see our private videos and photos. I think we put up enough for people to see whether they're interested or not.

So maybe actually really ugly and you’re fortunate not to have wasted time with further messaging?

I've put my glasses on now.

I don't see this as time wasting, every conversation you have does not lead to meeting.

I'd only send my face pic to people I was interested in, maybe she just wasn't. And yeah that can happen after seeing a face pic and exchanging a few messages.
