discombobulated land

Every time I come home from work I see a car parked outside my house on the road. It's only there though when I'm in. I know because I've checked on my ring doorbell and it's not there during the day. Should I call the police as it seems very suspicious to me. An I being paranoid???

It probably somebody who works during the day and is either living in a house on your street or just got into a relationship with somebody on your street. I doubt it is something suspicious unless you are up to something dodgy yourself and need to worry about somebody watching you.

It arrives just before you get home? Doesn't your Ring show more details, including the driver?

If it's a public place and there aren't parking restrictions, I'd imagine the police wouldn't be too interested.

Record the vehicle reg info, as there's probably little else to do, unless your home is miles from others

Seems very odd though. It's parked right outside my house and always seems to be there. I checked this morning at 2am because I thought I'd heard a noise and there it was. Got to work this morning, checked the door bell camera... Gone! Seems very odd to me. I'm thinking it might be someone weighing up my movements etc..

It would be odd to weigh up your movements by parking directly outside your house don’t you think?

I've never seen anyone get in or out of the car, that's one of the worrying things. Why would it consistently park right outside my house too?

Because they like that spot

Because they’re visiting someone in the street

Because they live in the street too

You’re definitely overthinking this

I don't know. If you park elsewhere the house is difficult to see because of the road layout and I don't trim my bush so that makes it harder still. You do hear about these things though don't you?

I would only start to think something was amiss if it also started parking outside of your workplace.

Let's look at this logically.

It's there when you get home but you say it's only there when you're at home? If it is someone monitoring your movements they'd be in the car when you got home which shows they already know your schedule.

What other reasons might anyone have for monitoring you? Can you think of any?

If you're genuinely concerned can you speak to a community police officer. They might be able to suggest your next course of action.

There are numerous possibilities but if you're anxious about this talking to someone might help allay your worries.

This was brilliant.

I caught on when you mentioned you never saw anyone leave or enter the car.

A critical thinker would have picked up on him not seeing someone on his ring doorbell. I failed dismally.

Someone was doing this outside mine so I put a note on the windscreen ‘please dump your trash outside your own house’ with loads of duct tape and left my name and house number. The guy went totally ballistic I though his head was gonna explode or that we might even have a fight on the street he was really going g door it but he calmed down and never did it again
