I was just wondering how other people's gym routines look.

How you finding them?

I currently doing back, shoulders, biceps one day, legs, chest and triceps the next.

Finding it good, 2x8 for 12 exercises so it's not to taxing on the body

I follow a 11 week program of 4 days a week where one week is full body and the next is upper/lower with an option arm day at the end of the full body week. It pretty much culminates in 1rm testing at the end of the program and then going through it all again

So I rotate mine as I go 3 days a week;

So day 1 & 3 is upper, day 2 is legs.

Then I swap them, day 1 & 3 legs - day 2 upper.

As for my routine;

Mostly weights but for upper its shoulders, chest, lat pulls, rowing. When I switch; it’s barbell work such as deadlifts, bar should press etc.

For legs, it’s predominantly leg extensions & curls, leg press, abductors, calf press. But changing them up a bit now to do RPL’s and leg press/weighted squats.

Manchester(ish).

I have a really specific Olympic Weightlifting training schedule.

4 days a week. About 8 hours in total.

I also need to weave some flexibility and plyo work in too.

Currently 2x upper and 2x lower sessions a week, back to basics for a bit trying to gain size over winter, I normally do two sets to failure per exercise one heavy one back off I go up in weight next week if I hit 5 reps on the heavy set or 8 on the back off. Exception being quads I like higher reps extended rest pause set (do as many continuous reps then tske as many breaths as needed to continue doing more reps for example last nights hack squat hit 8 continuous then pushed to 20 total by breathing as long as it takes to get another rep)

I do the bro split push pull legs, twice a week rest one day. I have added a lot of functional lifts in as way of reducing injury, farmers carries everyday, suitcase lifts everyday, heavy weighted wall sits everyday, trap bar deadlifts, twice a week.

So I don't have an actual "gym routine".... I struggle to get motivated so tend to do various instructor led classes.... Cardio, core, muscle strengthening all over & swimming.

Would love to be one of those guys that do follow a weight training program that works on different muscles. Big up to those with that discipline!

What are your goals OP? You should build your weekly program and diet to focus on your goals, whether it is weight loss, strength, endurance, toning up…

You’re obviously enjoying training and doing well 😀

Me too, except for the swimming, but I’m looking at getting lessons next month because my school swimming lessons were useless

I was doing push, pull, legs for about 3 years but I’ve switched to the bro split because I was starting to get injured from training 6 days a week. I’ve cut it down to 4 days a week and added a lot more cardio as I’m trying to shift a few lbs.
