I have been asked by several people what I want for my birthday which is not that far off now. No idea what to say. I have plenty of the usual stuff like eau de toilette, shirts, socks, jumpers etc. Any ideas for some more unsual, quirky options pls? Notning over £50 as I don't want to be asking people to spend more than that

A couple of my friends have just agreed to stop buying gifts and to take each other out for food or cook for them. I think that's a great idea

This, or a restaurant gift voucher.

But I’d much rather spend quality time with my friends than presents

Books, or even better, book vouchers! A day wandering around the book store as you contemplate what to get, knowing that someone thinks enough of you that they want to gift you quiet time lost in stories is a true gift.

The dot in the i

Flip the script

Instead of one evening where everyone gives you a gift

Use the whole week, spend a few hours with each person doing something you and they specifically enjoy. A week of experiences and memories with everyone you love

Those day out/red letter days have offers on majority of the time as well as booking the place direct. Just needs a Google search.

Not the North West...

I'd tell people not to bother, I'm guessing if there's something you want you'd just buy it yourself.

I always tell them not to bother but don't listen so end up with things I don't want or use
