I don’t think so no, I often make things so spend very little on gifts.

It’s the thought that counts , and maybe the impact, I wouldn’t go near Temu personally , if something costs a few pence to make someone is being exploited. But if you dislike them & the planet it’s maybe a good choice

I bought all mine off shein last year. Maybe it is tight fisted but I spent significantly less than I usually did so will be doing the same this year 💁

👌👌

Uncannily....if you combine the words 'Temu' and 'Shein' you can spell 'Shite Menu'. 😮😮

😂😂😂😂

We don’t give each other tat no one is going to use. Waste of money 😂😂😂

That is even more tight-fisted - no presents 🎁

You could try our approach - fuck off on holiday and don't buy anything much for anyone. The MIL might get something but otherwise, we give money to the nieces and nephews and don't bother with much else.

The frugal way is to arrange a Secret Santa and everyone buys only one present

The gesture and the thoughtfulness will always outrank the monetary value and the provenance of where it came from.

Never used it but it's the thought that counts and most people won't question the source of the items.

I've seen people post pictures online of nefarious objects found in their Temu packages

Most people I know would rather not receive interweb crap, It’s just another trip to the charity shop or more landfill to deal with

My dad's aunty used to buy me the same thing every year: a cardboard cracker with three hankies in it.

Well, except for the year she re-gifted some smellies but left the previous year's tag on it "to Nan, love Rachel".

When she died I was really upset that I wouldn't get any more hankie crackers, even though I never used them and they went round to the chazza straight after boxing day.

It really is the thought that counts ❤️

I reckon the only people who will think that are the type to focus on material things anyway. Presents shouldn’t be judged by cost.

No it isn't tight fisted. I got stocking fillers from Temu last year. I have got some really good stuff from Temu, including some pacman socks for my son's birthday.

I don't buy adults presents, they work, they can buy what they want.

They say “it’s the thought that counts”, so I just tell them that I “thought about buying them something “.
