Happened again today, makes us laugh every time, but also a little annoying.

They wink at you, you message and they block you lol.

I get it’s probably cos they didn’t read the profile before winking, then when they did, realised you’re not offering what they want. If you’re gonna read the profile, why not read it before winking?

This is one of the reasons I bulk delete all winks and friends request at the end of the day, with out looking at them.

Winks are a waste of time.

We don’t meet couples but we do occasionally get a wink from a couple. The winks are 99% single straight guys. The irony is nearly all of our meets are with men who describe themselves as “straight” otherwise we’d look at changing our message filters

I've only ever been winked at 3 times, I messaged them all and got no reply. I don't think they blocked me, just didn't reply. Just seems wierd. Nothing really strange about the messages, just thanks for winking, I like your profile, let's chat some more. I've also had a couple of friend requests similar. I honestly have friends who have never replied to a message that I've sent!

Yeah we get that too. We just delete the friend requests without even looking.

We put a note on everyone we interact with so when they do the same again in 6 months we know to ignore them.

That's a good idea, but it's such a small volume for me that it doesn't really cause a problem. If I was a female or couple profile it probably would be more of an issue.

I've chatted to profiles in the past who used the wink system as a way of telling people that they had just blocked them. Send a quick and then block. What the point was I've no idea.

I rarely get winks or friends requests but I never notice when I do get them so some could have been sent a few weeks or months before.

I don't delete any of them because you can only wink someone once every 30 days and you can't send another friend request if the recipient hasn't deleted the previous one.

They wink, I write a bland message back, after all the are 300 miles away. They reply and eventually I discover they are never getting near me. I say no thanks and they tell me I'm wasting their time and I started it.
