Browsing profiles, and seeing that people want to meet local.

What's your definition of local, for a fab meet?

I'd say 15 miles, which covers three towns and one and a half cities.

To me, local means within about 10 miles.

We would say 10 miles. From where we are any more than that and the accents change

Depends where you live I guess. I'm in a small village, probably only one town within 5 miles, but fast motorway access to a few cities that are more like 20 miles away.

I grew up on the border of West Brom and Birmingham, probably more people within 5 miles and 20 miles would have been a bit of a trek.

Central

It depends on the place, population density and transport. Many don't like ultra local, so I'd probably say within half an hour or so, a good 20 miles but excluding the first 2 or 3 miles

Realistically i say one hour journey by foot, car, bus, train, riverboat, cycle or taxi. That covers south west London.

For meeting platonic friends, happy to travel +4 hours no worries.

For meets, well depends how long, if staying over and what is the expectation.

Am married and no secrets.

Yes this is how i look at it.

I live quite rurally. So for ke local is someone who can drive to be here in around 30 minutes ish. I would also not see someone who lived 2 to 3 miles fro me cos that probably means they have too many connections to the same village as me. Lol

My 2 nearest cities are about 45 miles one way, and 55 miles the other.

‘Local’ for me is up to 45 minutes drive. That covers pretty much all of Cumbria, in to SW Scotland, and halfway meeting distance for people from Manchester and other places in Lancashire. 60 minutes puts me in Preston, and one of my frequent day rate play hotels…..
