I took about 10,000 of them this summer (out and about) and I'm still working through them all to pick out the (few) decent ones.

Is anyone else rather 'excessive' when it comes to taking snaps?

Selfies are certainly tricky. From angle, pose, lighting. Best to copy what others are doing for pose and location. If you can work a little photo editing for lightening shadows and sharpening, all the better. Camera position makes a huge difference also, easier to copy and recreate what you see. Also everyone has a better side
