What's this trend for men to take photos with a frown? The pose where they kind of wrinkle their forehead and eyebrows. Is it the male equivalent of the pout?

Gents, you will have lines when you get older trust me.

Selfies of some men (#NOTALLMEN) are so awkward… a nice smile always goes a long way!

Is it an attempt at a 'mean and moody' photo?

I find it incredibly hard to actually smile in photos sometimes.

Others, I'm just miserable. 😂😂

That's it, I'm just a miserable sod. Oh and I've absolutely got the frown lines already

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I've noticed this trend as well and honestly don't get it.

I suppose it's a step up from the axe murderer looking mug shot that's also quite common?😅😂

I'll always opt for a smile or a contemplative look....sans frowns or scowls!😁

I naturally frown. I can't help it, it's the way my face is haha

The weird trend I notice is the one where groups of guys on nights out all lean foward and slightly to the side. Such an unnatural pose but so many folk do it

Is it!

There's that iconic photo of James Dean with a very faint scowl. Maybe that's the inspiration

I think it might have passed me by. I went to 'hot pics' to find an example, but it's cocks not foreheads there.

This is a very deliberate knitting of the brows though.

Any selfie I take resembles the image you get looking at your reflection in the back of a spoon

I haven't seen that but I'm not out and about at night like I used to be.

Isn't it funny how people behave in groups

Manchester (he/him)

Also the tendency for guys to take a selfie looking up from their navel. It’s not a good look guys!

Who's James Dean?"

An American film star who was killed aged 24 in a car crash.

Maybe the light is in their eyes, a sexy squint.

actually that would be a good way to take part without actually revealing what you look like. Although maybe 8 do have a disproportionately huge nose and tiny little squinty eyes

I will add for balance that the women who spend a lot of time doing the pout pose are going to have lines later too. 👵

Oooh, I have someone who regularly messages me with just a frowny forehead photo. It's an interesting yet unsuccessful approach.

I mean I'd rather a frown than a cock pic, but seeing someone look grumpy isn't a turn on.
