I have been on here a couple of months hoping to meet someone with regular fun. My next proper relationship I'd like to be with someone who likes the lifestyle. What's the views on whether it's best to meet someone and then venture into the scene or meet someone on the scene and build a relationship?

Carlisle usually

I've never actively sought a rearionship here.

But connections have developed into something more than the original goal on multiple occasions.

It's good that way. I'm not sure actively seeking a relationship would work as well. For me, at least 💜

Love can be found anywhere. Many people have found their people here.

I guess you have to manage your own expectations and be prepared for others having different ones.

We met on here - both of us were not actively seeking a relationship but it developed that way after meeting a number of times and our feelings becoming more.

Obviously we are still here with a couples account so enjoying this together now and I’d say, for us, it’s worked out perfectly as we can be completely honest and open about our desires, which is sometimes difficult when starting a ‘normal’ relationship.

I think not looking for a relationship was key though - it’s the old Sod’s Law if you look for something you can’t find it.

It can happen, if both of you are on the same page. Personally, I'm not looking to get into an open relationship so meeting someone in the lifestyle wouldn't be possible unless they were willing to give it up too, which is doubtful.

I’m in a relationship myself… me and my partner first started chatting on here after briefly meeting at a club first. Neither of us were actively looking for something romantic but we naturally hit it off and developed into that pretty quickly.

Best to not force it if that is something you’re after. If it’s meant to be, it will be. Another thing to bear in mind is that swinging as a couple is very different to doing so solo. Boundaries are key and that can take some time getting used to when you’ve had the freedom to do as you please.

Also need to think about your feelings towards things such as are you going to be okay with your female partner potentially getting a whole heap more attention from others compared to you? There’s a possibility too that getting into a relationship could have a detriment on any existing connections you have.

There’s a whole heap of positivity that can come from a swinging relationship but it’s built on the foundations of trust and communication for it to work.

Can meet “the one” anywhere op. I love my life as it is and will 100% never EVER want a proper relationship but if i did it wouldn’t be on here. I wouldn’t be sharing them.

Nice advise. Cheers mate. I'm not actively looking for a relationship as such just like the idea when I do settle with someone that we can explore together. Appreciate it bud.

we met in the lifestyle. To be fair we were friends first although if I'm honest I knew when we were just talking that there was something about Mr. I was adamantly against getting into a relationship though... so I fought hard against my feelings for a while.

However now we are happily having fun together and getting married next year xx

I met my partner here 9 years ago.

We took time away and hid out profiles for a good few months, he decided to come back as a couple.

Here is as good a place as anywhere to meet someone, I wasn't actively looking for more than fun though.

I think many are open to more than nsa tbh, as lots of couples have got together on fab.

I honestly think this is a great place to find a relationship. Sure it's not going to be what everyone wants here, but then I am not interested in relationships with everyone.

There's some interesting people on here, with similar beliefs and values to my own.

With respect to your question, I've done it both ways around and it seems to work well either way.

Hear here!

One of my fuck buddies has the opposite view - that Fabbers are not looking for relationships. So he's now hooked up with a religious woman (via vanilla dating site, and they are shagging outside marriage! Go figure!) who doesn't know about his bisexuality never mind swinging and regular sex club past. Don't get me wrong, he is happy in the relationship but he is very definitely back in the closet.

There may be trouble ahead...?

Keep an open mind and go about enjoying your life. You'll come across the matching people at any point.

You snooze, you lose.
