Just looking for some advice, probably in the wrong place but hey ho.

Anyway I'm having a week's winter sun and when I went last year whilst I tanned it took the inevitable day or two to get going, and the resort i stayed in was liberal to say the least.

THis year after a more extensive bit of research im going to pdi and i look like a ghost right now and have has a pang of anxiety.

So I've been toying with idea of getting on a sunbed before I go and getting a start but also tanning the bits that usually only come out at night.

Do people do sun beds before they go on holidays and what is it like in a tanning place?

I guess the bog question, assume you can go on them naked if you choose...

Thanks in advance

As a natural ginger, I don't tan well and burn.

On holiday this year I used a tan accelerator on top of my factor 30 which did help, especially my legs where I rarely take a colour.

I'm considering sun beds starting in December as we go to the Caribbean in Feb. My plan is to build up the time in them very gradually. So start at 3 mins twice a week and build up. I don't expect to be a bronzed goddess but would rather not remain blue!

Dubai & Nottingham

Plenty of people go on the sunbeds prior to going on holiday and yes get completely naked in them.

My friend owns the tanning Shop at the bottom of my road and I used it in the past and my daughter because we like to be tanned in winter!

basic cubicle you lock from the inside get naked , put on g, coin or 2 in the slot and stand in the machine close your eyes or wear a Goggles/ protection.

We used to do between three and nine minutes a couple of times a week it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get a good tan. Then just once a week to maintain it

We went on to find fancier shops with a whole host of features on the machines and in the rooms , music, must/spray, massage beds , free drinks but you pay for it

I don’t use it anymore but when we did it was great makes you feel so healthy and vibrant & yea a bit sexy!! and you can get creams and gels to intensify in speed it up - The ones that tingle on your skin on the best just Google it- Most of the people we chatted to there pre-holiday

It can accelerate aging, so I avoid now, as I'm not the sweet young girl of yesteryear . Perhaps consider a lotion tan that's as natural as you can find, as they would avert the blanket white glare. Or be comfortable, as your signposting that you're fresh meat.

Just go, get on the beach and the first few minutes might be a little anxious for u (for no one else) once you lying down with cream on, u won’t even notice… we all have that first day by the pool or on the beach and look around and think, oh I’m pale… after an hour you’ll be sound

Sunbed or the stand up version which includes a fan to make them more intensive (a tan can). Pick up a tan accelerator from the reception (they’re sachets and bottles you can buy there) to help the tan along. Oh and intake your headphones it’s nice to chill with sone music.
