Beat me to it, as he was quite an extraordinary man. His support for Sinead O’Connor when she was getting booed at Dylan’s birthday bash was so refreshing to see, even wrote a song about her.

Few know that he once played Han Solo - on The Donny and Marie Show in the 70s. Bearded and standing giving Chewbacca a run for his money in the height stakes, he was really cool! Even the tap-dancing Stormtroopers in the show didn't diminish his effortless charisma.

It pissed me off that most of the TV news articles didn't mention the Blade series (which resurrected his acting career) or even bloody Convoy. Most said that he was most famous for A Star Is Born, but that was lazy journalism drawing on the success of the Lady Gaga one.

Mention his name to those over 40, and chances are they will go straight to Convoy. I watched it again recently for the first time in nearly 40 years and really enjoyed it.

Here's to a true Rhodes scholar and a gentleman.

He was indeed excellent in the Blade films, perfect for that role. But the "lazy" journalists won't mention such works as Wesley Snipes is, in their narrow minded agenda pushing minds, "cancelled" you see.

In tribute, the wife and I just watched the episode with both him and Rita Coolidge in it.

The duet of Help Me Make It Through The Night with Miss Piggy is hilarious, with KK breaking up throughout.
