Whether they’re trying to flirt, get you attention, like you, dislike you, just about tolerate you or anything else

I am one of the worse at reading signs if someone likes me, I can pick up dislike as I think, for me it’s more obvious

On here, people make snap judgements all the time. If someone doesn't like me based off what they see of me on here I don't really care, they don't know me. If someone does like me, again it's based on a snap judgement. If they actually knew me they probably wouldn't like me.

So no, I don't care.

Here is a good example of errors/noise in the signals so I don’t pay too much attention to it.

I couldn't tell you if I was being chatted up or not. I would assume the guy was being friendly.

He'd literally need to tell me directly he's chatting me up,or wave a big sign in my face.

It's not delusion, it's life experience. Of course there are times when I can project onto others but I'm very aware of that. My intuition about people has never been wrong so far so I trust that more than what people are presenting to me.

I dunno, I don’t think anyone here is going to make it a secret if they like someone. I kind of match other peoples energy or just straight move on if I don’t get the vibe they’re interested. The only complication is when people do seem interested and then just drop off a couple of days later. I never really take compliments on board here for that reason, until we’ve actually met I don’t know if they’re real or just killing a few hours between other things.

I feel like this place has given me thicker skin though. I’m quick to get over things and I won’t put in any energy I don’t feel I’m getting back. Nobody lives rent free in my head lol

A lot of the time. I have problems detecting social cues. So sometimes you have to lay it on pretty thick with me or just tell me frankly. I do like plain talking and openness.

It's quite funny when I'm telling Mrs about my day and tell her someone was flirting with me. Because Mrs Misfit knows if I was picking up on that then they must have been flirting hard with me. There's literally been times when we're out and women have been flirting with me and I'm oblivious. Mrs Misfit is like how are you not picking up on that, in general amazement?

As to on the scene its a little easier than the everyday world. If I like someone and I pick up the slightest vibe its far more acceptable to ask if they want to kiss than it would be in the everyday vanilla world. And the vast majority of the time they do want to and it goes down well. Which of course increases my confidence in listening to the vibes. The scene is a safe place to be more forthcoming with your intentions and for someone like me that's definitely an advantage and how I wish the everyday world was like. Its a safe place to take a shot in the dark. A safe place that if you're wrong its a no thanks without offence or outrage or resulting an interview without coffee with HR. In the everyday world it would just be inappropriate to proposition unless you're 110% sure the intrest is completely mutual (which is not a complaint, just a pragmatic realism of the current environment and historical context). Which makes the everday world not an easy environment you're crap at reading other people and social cues (as I'm sure people can understand stand).
