I'd be very torn. I can see a lot of potential benefits and negatives to it.

But I'm a terrible person to voice an opinion on this as I both want to be online at all times but also live in the woods with no human communication or even proof I exist.

Nope. Not to be help on file. I’d happily give a sample if asked then destroyed. Look at all the cybercrime going on. There is no way any database would be safe from corruption or identity theft.
