Do people enjoy when they get a message on here complimenting their body or looks.

Often see a couple/woman who I know is out my league but want to compliment them, nothing more. Or does it get old with the 100 other messages you get?

It's not being kind, it's being horny. Compliments aren't genuine if they have intentions to wear you like a hat.

If you’re paying a compliment without seeking anything in return then what does it matter? Send the message.

If you’re paying a compliment to get their attention it will need to be a very good one. And maybe ask yourself if you really mean it.

Compliments on here are always done with intent.

And usually mean shit.

Honestly sometimes I just see a beautiful woman and want to tell them. But 100% get men think if they say nice boob's. They're owed something back

Im a bit jaded with this now tbh. I used to take a compliment in the way i would like to think it is intended.

However, 95% of the compliments i get from men are either A) not a compliment to me but might be to them- but generally overly sexual- so lovely figure (ok) id like to ruin it (less so) or B) just a veiled conversation starter.

I do get the odd genuine off men and women though.

100% we all know we write 'honestly' and you can't lie after it.

It depends to be honest, some compliments I thinks re quite nice, the ones on our profile or pics, personal compliments it depends who it's from, someone here I've not spoken to I don't take much notice it's usually compliment with the intent of getting into mine or his pants.

I believe in compliments where due.

Too many won't accept then for what they are. So I rarely send them anymore.

Which I think is a shame.

I kind of gerrit OP, but consider this - have you ever had a compliment from someone in whom you would never in a million years be interested? I have and I tend to think “So?”

Chances are it illicits the same response t’other end so I don’t bother, despite the occasional urge to be complimentary. It’s usually a witty profile btw, not fabulous tits before anyone sour wades in.

I'm always suspicious of complimentary messages, purely because with most of them, there's an ulterior motive.

Ie you reply thanking them, then they take it as a green light to keep talking or asking to meet etc.

Some of them just want to get into sex chat about how they've had a play over your pics or want to see more.

Call me cynical, but I'd rather not receive them.

I never really know what to do with these. I’m not great at accepting compliments anyway. From strangers, on a site such as this, it’s even more awkward and hard to believe they’re genuine.

I feel like I have to reply but I rarely know what to reply other than ‘thanks’ so it all feels a bit contrived.

"Honestly sometimes I just see a beautiful woman and want to tell them...."

OP, dear fellow, do not - I repeat - do not tell a woman that she's beautiful. It only leads to a downward spiral of disappointment and false hope. Do not let your êyês betray you for most of them are hideous like harpies and spew poison from their forked tongues.

No matter how well intentioned your compliment may come across they will rebuke you and interpret your hollow words with solid disenchantment.

Adulations on here are thrown about like yesterday's confetti. Keep your honour. Save your compliments. 🩶🌿

Compliments are free. Responding thank you should also be free 👍🏻

If you feel like sending a compliment then go for it. Just don't expect a response beyond a simple thanks or nothing at all.

You've got nothing to loose and you might brighten up someone's day.

The title of the thread is slightly at odds with the post. It 'pays to be kind' suggests an ulterior motive.

Didn't think of this when posting haha. Was thinking more along the lines of give out positive energy and you'll receive it back somewhere down the line.

You're potentially adding to messages overload, so will often be a nuisance, even if well intentioned.

If most people here did this frequently, more people would probably activate message filters.

If people allow it, you could just fab a pic instead, which won't add the same burden.

I'm comfortable giving compliments and do it quite often, both publicly and privately to my 'friends'. I rarely do it to randoms.

They are done with no expectations of anything because I might as well live in the fucking arctic circle and my sexy biatch friends live near the equator.

Oh I love to neg one of my favourite hotties (apparently).

Very good point to be fair. I think I was a little naive in thinking a message would brighten someone's day. But when you get 100. I bet it gets old quick. Likely just stick to fabbing a pic. Thanks all

I don't think it's naive at all. If you are clear about your intentions and it makes you feel good you have nothing to lose.

Speaking for myself it makes me smile. Even if it's not someone I'd meet it is nice to hear someone say I look good.

I know plenty of women who are fine with polite compliments with no expectations of a meet, response etc.

Especially when so many messages can be abusive, rude or outright demanding.

Blokes get messages complimenting their looks?

I'm just joking but ever those messages found their way to my inbox, I'd be flattered.

I’m not a woman. I get compliments on my looks (god bless poor eyesight) from men and women. So it’s not unusual as Tom Jones would say

I get quite a lot of compliments on my pics on personal profile. There are no pics on my personal profile.

This tells me all I need to know about

a) how genuine most of these compliments are

b) why having public pics is overrated.

After the initial amusement of responding "Fab your favourite for a fuck" subsided I decided it was simplest just to block.
