Had a tattoo a couple of months ago and it was complete disaster. Spectacular blowout, arm smudged and black. Embarrassing to let anyone see it so sex is out of the window, although thank god I can cover it for work.

Back to another artist in October for a cover up.

Anyone else had a tattoo disaster with instant regret ?

Sounds awful! Hope you went back to the original artist to show them? Maybe they didn't inject the ink deep enough in the skin and it 'bled out'

Never had a tattoo, what happens in that situation? Is the original tattooist obliged to make good? Or give a refund?

Most will offer a refund or try to make good I believe. And in my case I've made it clear they arent going anywhere near me again so got my money back. Finding someone experienced in doing tattoos over the top was difficult though, but they are confident I've seen enough to be happy they can sort it out.

Just gutted . First one !
