An evening of clairvoyance

hiding from cock pics.

I'm going to a fledgling clairvoyant evening tonight, it's the first time when I'm interested to see how it works. I haven't been to anything like this before.

Apparently the fledgling part of it is that it's people who are quite new to finding their way in passing messages from spirit.

Wind it if anyone has been to anything like this before and did you enjoy it?

Read Lily Dale the town that talks to the dead, by Christine Walker. It's fascinating! I'm very into paranormal etc. It's on Amazon

Titz Towers, North Notts

Read anything by James Randi - he's a stage magician who spent a life time debunking 'psychic' powers.

It's just cold reading and selective remembering.

Watch some Darren Brown clairvoyance, before you go, to see if you observe some of the techniques in action.

I went to several of these evenings with a very open mind and witnessed nothing that caused me to believe the clairvoyants were in touch with dead people.

What I saw was a group of people who desperately wanted to be convinced by a small group of either deluded or cynically exploitative people who each had a 'gimmick' that set them apart from other 'clairvoyants'.

This isn't to say that I don't believe that some people genuinely can tap in to *something* (not saying it's dead people) but they are very, very rare and unlikely to be 'performing'. I hope one of these people is at your evening

See Steven Holbrook he’s the best. He will leave you laughing and crying on the same night. I challenge anyone to go to one of his demonstrations and not come away believing in the spirit world

I have witnessed people state things to me which I haven’t discussed before l, how do they get this information, some of it super personal, each to their own but i am a believer, there are many fakes and people who can play mind tricks

Not clairvoyancy but went to the Most Haunted Live show...

Now being part of this lifestyle, I'd say I'm pretty open minded but wow... half the show was crude banter been the hosts, discussing how wet the hosts wife was when meeting the England rugby team and that just one example.

I went with an open mind regard the paranormal but, regard that nothing was answered and if anything, with blatant stooges in the audience, the almost adult panto feel it if it all... I left more so disbelieving

He does the live shows. I would be interested to see how good he is. Was excellent in his brief PN stint.

Thanks for the people who've suggested to check out, I will do that.

I'm going with an open mind and let's just see what it's like.

Either which way it's going to be interesting I think!

Next Door

I have never been to an open event, but would love too.

I had a private reading back in the summer and a lot of what I was told was very true and the short term things have come true. Fingers crossed the rest of it happens. 🤞

OP enjoy your evening

Also, it would be great if everyone had had refined poker faces, so that nothing is given away. I'd love such an event

Years ago my mum volunteered to be the 'fortune teller' at my brother's school fete.

She sat in a small tent wrapped up in one of my saris and just said the first thing that came into her head.

Many people approached her afterwards to tell her that her 'predictions' came true. 🤣. It was simply the laws of probability and coincidence in action.

It was really good.

There were eight mediums, two of them seemed to really connect with members of the audience and did seem to really have lots of information about someone known well to them who had passed.

The others were struggling a little bit but it was supposed to be a night for new clairvoyants. I'm going to go again sometime as they have some very experienced mediums often and apparently they are brilliant as well as great entertainment.

I'm not sure currently what I make of it, but it definitely was entertaining and friendly.

Hertfordshire

I have visited one once with a small group. She had a lot to say whilst reading my friends and family (very specific, personal things) so I was excited to see what she could get from me.

Unfortunately she got really nervous when it was my turn (I'm hoping that didn't mean anything bad on my part!) and told me that she couldn't read me.

I thought I went in with an open mind but maybe not, but I haven't bothered trying to see anyone else yet. x
