"She liked your message and thought it deserved a reply. She didn’t like your profile for whatever reason and thought you’re not going to be compatible so she blocked you. Simple, really." She actually said that she liked my profile as well... I have no problem with people blocking me. And I have no problem with people not being interested in meeting me. But, expressing an interest and then blocking? Seems odd to me.

"I feel for you Op, but these things happen. People can and do change their minds and don't need to justify themselves. This hasn't happened to me, but I have had messages in the past that were read, not responded to, yet not deleted. Chin up. If your approach is the right one, eventually it'll pay dividends 😁" Sending messages that get read and ignored is absolutely standard. This is the first time I've had someone respond to a message positively and then block me. That strikes me as odd

"Pretty standard. Not a lot you can do about it. Write it off as one of those annoying Fab things and move on. " I don't expect to be able to do anything about it. As confusing as it is, she made her choice and I respect that.

Definitely doesn't know me, and I was definitely not too local. She wanted local. I dunno. I'm just bummed out about it really. It's such a mean way to reject someone... tell them they tick all the boxes, tell them they deserve a "proper reply" and then block. I mean, do what you want, I don't expect much, I don't hassle, I respect people's choices but, if you're not interested, don't tell someone you are and then block them! Just seems a little cruel.

"I’ve done it before. Usually when I’ve realised I’m actually not that interested. Why block? Because all too often an explanation leads to an escalation from the recipient " If it were me, I'd wait to find out if they were going to escalate before I blocked but, that's me.
