I eat spaghetti, macaroni, linguine, farfalle, penne, lasagne, spirali, fusilli, tagliatelle, conchiglie, ravioli, tortellini.

There's a lot more I haven't tried yet.

Some are better at holding/being coated with sauces. Some are good for chunky sauces, others smooth. Some are good for twirling, some are good for scooping up with a spoon. Others are good for bakes. Some are good for soups. Then there's ones that are good for being filled. Etc etc.

Moral of the story: never question the Italians 🤌

I get the theory, but in practice I can never tell the difference.

It’s my unsophisticated level of culinary knowledge.

Oh I definitely can. I chopped up the veg for my sauce really tiny recently, and then added tiny pasta to it. The texture when chewing almost made me vom, it was just too many tiny things at once. Would have been delicious with big pasta tho 🤷🏻‍♀️

There appears to be over 350 known types (shapes) of Pasta…

However many of the have fallen from favour and are very hard to fined!

Each has an official number, god I need to get out more and not just to buy pasta…🤣

Conchiglie is the only one I care about. When the bolognaise fills each little shell 👌🏻 Fuck spaghetti.

It has flour in it, so I lump it in with pasta.

Use conchiglioni and get more sauce in your mouth.

I've made stuffed Rigatoni, which is time consuming, but well worth it.

No matter which pasta you are using, you just can't beat putting it with Calabrese sauce. It's bloody lovely!

Never have spaghetti bol in foreign lands if you like dolmen spaghetti bol. Its just tomatoes sauce with no flavouring and bland.
