Then don't watch it.....it's one of the biggest festivals in the world and is of great interest to many people.

If you are not one of those people then don't watch it, incidentally the television coverage costs are akin to a Wembley Cup final.

Have you been to Glastonbury or just watched it on TV?

We have been and also watched highlights, it works for us. But don't expect any event to appeal to all.

"What's the licence fee got to do with it? "

The BBC show Glastonbury coverage Evie, but in truth the cost of doing so is relatively cheap compared to F1 coverage.

Just my opinion ..whilst the bbc is far from perfect....the varied range of radio shows alone is for me enough to justify the fee........

And perhaps we should praise the fact that auntie broadcasts minority events.....

Watch what you like.....switch off the rest..

No, there should be no variety of programming on the BBC and everything that is shown should just suit the tastes of one particular person.

Completely agree with the fact that if it doesn't appeal switch over. Perhaps to BBC2 for your funded entertainment channel.

Not everything appeals to everyone, but hey that's preference for you lol

Glastonbury, although I've never been, seems to be an event that Britain should be proud of, why not televise highlights off it, and I think the majority of the live coverage is 'red button' anyway. So shouldn't effect your viewing of the normal bbc tripe.

tamworth & Edinburgh

its the biggest of its kind & its something to be very proud of, its the biggest city in somerset & it takes on an entity of its own, theres nowhere like it & youll see things you wont see anywhere else.

this is my 30th year & I couldn't be anywhere else that week.

as for the licence fee, theres a hell of a lot more crap to be moaning about than good old Glastonbury.

see you all there

Been 5 times, totally loved it (except 2007 when it pissed it down the whole time), and the line-up is awesome this year, but the cost is just ridiculuous and there's no way I can afford it
