Depends on the context really. Texting is very useful a lot of the time.

Second star to the right…

I am happy to text but much prefer a conversation.

It so much more free flowing and you get a feel for the person especially if you’re on cam.

It depends on what it is.

If I want a reminder of what was agreed, then a text, so I can check the time we're meeting.

If it is someone who can chat for 2 hours and I've only got 20 minutes, then a text.

If it's someone I've got enough time to chat to, then a conversation is lovely

Both. One can have a proper conversation via text. It's about the quality of the conversation and not the medium/platform.

Next Door

Over the years I've spent lots of time on calls at work, so I preferred texting.

Now I love a conversation with people over the phone.

I find that most are still in love with texting

I prefer face to face conversations to telephone ones, if it’s a dialogue on the phone it’s usually textual. These are more convenient because the conversation can go on all day at any pace, sometimes quick reply’s or longer breaks if one or other of the participants is tied up with other things

I worry about picking the right words in text so conversation is much easier for me.

But texting has its place. I like the little check ins x

I think texting is okay for brief exchanges and maybe initially getting a feel for people.

I prefer a phone call with people I know better. There's an end point and then I can get on with stuff

We're mainly club/party/chance encounters in the vanilla world swingers rather that the whole online thing. We like to cut out the middle man and just meet people face to face. You just really can't tell until you meet someone in person.

I like a face-to-face meet as soon as possible. Exchanging monologues by text, even phone calls, lose all the nuance of face-to-face conversation.

Conversation, laughter and a good giggle are really important to me ahead of, during and after any sexual liaison. The connection, even when NSA/ONS makes the meeting.

I like texting, but nothing beats a face to face conversation you can tell if there's a connection easier, and the eyes are the windows to people's souls, so I think they can say a lot about a person.

It can be hard to maintain a decent conversation via text, it's hard to express character and charisma sometimes. I prefer meeting in person to get a better idea of who they really are. Some texts can be taken out of context so easily making things awkward and hard to gauge real intent. We have messaged people on here and they've politely declined us, then we happened to meet at clubs and after talking and having a laugh we have ended up playing. Texts and messages aren't the best form of communication when looking for fun we've found. It's a good place to start but it shouldn't be the main focus of making a decision we have learned. But everyone does things their own way, whatever works for you xx

Neither, I'm afraid.

I much prefer email (or letter).

Either allow for much deeper discussion.

Face to face conversation is best, but WA/TG is the next best thing if I want to interact with someone I can't physically be with.

I hate talking on the phone.
