Has your view of him changed after what has come out about him?

Nope. I rate him as an excellent musician, I have no impact on his personal life and he has none on mine

It happens.

At least he has told his family and has said he will stand by the child

Cynical me says he was about to be “outed” so spoke out about it first

Kind me says at least he admits it and hasn’t paid her off to be quiet

He’s done nowt illegal so I don’t give two hoots. It’s his business.

I just want the guy to continue to make banging music.

Honestly? I'm sad. For me. You have a picture of the sort of person someone is built up in your head and when you find out they're not who you thought, it's sad.

I wish him well and still love his music.

I know very little about him so I don't really have an opinion to be changed. Its a private matter between the people involved as far as I'm concerned

Not at all. He's human. Humans make mistakes. He still makes awesome music. I've had to stop reading comments about it. This is what sickens me about the media. Ain't nobody else's business except those involved, yet people feel the need to give an opinion.

That's between him and his wife, and not for me or anyone else to judge or even care about.

Musically I much, much preferred him in Nirvana than in FF.

On a more general level, people are a bit too quick judging and jumping to conclusions, even within a seemingly "open minded" community such as this one. When looking at a relationship, there is just so much (99% of it, likely) no one knows except the two people involved, I think it's better not to make any calls.

Also on a general level, one misstep shouldn't change people's opinions of an otherwise wholesome track record of being (seemingly) a genuinely good guy.

I,very seen the headline but not bothered to read the story. In my opinion its a personal matter between all the parties involved. Trial by online platforms is unfortunately the way the world has evolved.

Still one of the best musicians out there. That’s what I pay to see or listen too. Not his private matters.

It's a hard one. He's done wrong and admitted it, unfortunately for him he's a massive star so the whole world gets to see. At a time when him, his family and the lady needs privacy the most.

To lighten it

One of the kids is not like the others

I can honestly say that Dave, has no clue or any idea that you all exist, even if it has changed your opinion on him for whatever he's done? I think its something to do with him cheating in the past. Does anyone actually really care?

Carlisle usually

There's nothing in what I've seen to imply it was anything but a consensual choice between adults as far as the fathering goes. I don't know the dynamics of his marriage. And it's none of my business.

If he was just cheating on his wife, that's pretty rubbish of him. But as celebrity missteps go, it's not even close to the league of offensive behaviour that causes me to stop enjoying what they've produced as an artist 💜

He's not the first guy to be caught with his pants down and won't be the last.

At least he's owned up to it and is dealing with it like an adult

I feel sorry for all involved that he felt he had to get it out there before tabloid/narrow minded people gossiped & berated him.

That said, top marks for being brave enough to tackle it head on, tell the truth & kill the press story.

Note; they have said they are dealing with it as a family. Before jumping to conclusions of one nighters, it may have been a relationship they now regret.

It was a bit disappointing to hear, but I’m not his wife or family member, so none of my business.

Also, when did this happen? Was it a moment of madness during a period of grief (when his drummer passed away) or whatever?

Imagine being Dave Grohls PR team - easiest job ever for 25 years and then fucking 💥boom!💥

The statement being some weird lawyer contrived passive voiced confession

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter…”

I don't much care although the public mood about this isn't one that is damning of him particularly I notice. Even on here which is interesting bc often those who are cheating get a grilling without the addition of a child from outside their primary relationship.

couple, us we him her.

I'd imagine that it's possible that this was a result of Taylor's death, maybe Dave found himself a bit lost and ended up doing something that wasn't normally in his nature and now he's doing the right thing being honest and supportive.
