There's nothing like a quickie!

"This morning at 6.30am (not briefly!)"

Unless of course its an early morning slow one!

I don't have fixed dates for turning my heating on and off, but I've not needed it yet.

I have dug out my furry throw and had that over my legs while I lazed on the sofa last night. I also suspect I'll be using a hot water bottle in the next couple of days. For now though I've a good layer of insulation (ie fat) keeping me warm.

It's bloody freezing - so much for global warming, I'm with Trump on that (naturally I also hold his views on windmills and electric boats and sharks).

What is wrong with this country, why cant we have a dry season and a rainy season like SE Asia (rather than constant damp, drizzle, rain, floods, etc).

Sat here thinking about getting the thermals out, and the onesie out (the slanket is already in use - if I can get the dog to move off it)

Haven't run the central heating for about six years now.

Gas disconnected in the street, boiler decommissioned but still in situ. Need to drain the system one of these days but easier said than done.

Got plenty of dry tree wood I could burn but mainly use a maximum (in really cold weather) of two Calor gas heaters which work out at about £10 per week and I'm not susidising what was a once public utility but now a privatised rip off (British Gas), with a year round standing charge for doing nothing, any more.

Wear more clothes and live in a healthier temperature, like I did as a 1950s kid.
