I love learning new words, don't you?

Post a word that you know that isn't in common use because it's old-fashioned, or technical language or maybe it's in a local dialect, so we can all learn some new words today.

Here's one I read in a book yesterday;

'Surquedry' - an overwhelming pride or arrogance.

Over to you.

I would say learned but I've already forgotten the actual word itself. Discovered a word in a technical document that I didn't understand and had to Google, because context didn't help. Note to engineers: don't write using words that nobody has ever used in normal conversation 😅

I like the word augment, it’s mostly used in a technical way regarding information but you can use it but lots of things really is quite a powerful word.

.

Wabi-sabi. I was talking to a friend about the various concepts that we've adopted, used to market. Like hygge. That was all the rage a couple of years ago. Anyway, they brought up the concept of wabi sabi - finding beauty in things even if they don't last, accepting things as they are.

It's two words but it's beautiful.

Haha well I need to hear it more… so if you could randomly just write it from time to time on here I’d be eternally grateful 😋
