I once had a dream that freaked me the fuck out!!

I was running away from someone through the woods at night I was unsure who it was & was scared, I was wearing a white gown and approached gates on a caravan site, the gate had several armed men with their cocks hanging out of their trousers while holding a button in one hand hitting it into the other scary as if they are going to beat me....next thing I run into a caravan and go to hide in the toilet, in there is a woman sat on the toilet dressed in white with a grey face and rotting teeth slamming her teeth together so much bits were crumbling and cracking, a moment later I was woken by someone telling me I was slamming my teeth together.

I'd love an explanation to that one 😂

Tonypandy.

I tend to find I have very violent, graphic and realistic dreams when I'm unwell.

Few days ago, I dreamt my best mate had died. Know it was sudden and violent, but not the details. It was so realistic that I got up, sent downstairs and spent about 5 minutes staring at and poking him to check he was alive and real, whilst having to get constantly reassured he wasn't in fact a ghost.

Poor sod had to take me back to bed and ended up having an afternoon snooze, as I refused to let him.leace in case he did actually die.

It was decided that cough mixture and strong pain meds don't mix well with me.

Woke up, couldn't get the name Lisa from Rotherham out of my head. Went to football with mates, mates car broke down with no AA, so had to garage the car and we all caught train home. Jumped on train and spoke to a woman and her friend in the carriage, asked them where they were going and she said Rotherham, I said your names Lisa isn't it..... She said yeah! Freaked me the fook out then, still does now.

It sounds like memories from a time in your life when you were most happy. Wishful thinking about your dad still being alive. Maybe there's things you want to tell him but didn't when he was alive

I often dream about the same house. It's not a place I've ever been to in real life, but it's mine in the dreams and it's half renovated. The front of it is finished and ready to live in, but behind doors and up staircases there are huge cracks in the walls, a terrible woodworm infestation, dust and cobwebs. In those dreams I can't afford to finish the work and have to come to terms with selling despite not wanting to.

I have no idea why my sleep-self keeps going there.

This could indicate that you're not happy with your current house. You want something better but can't afford it. The house could represent you and what's going on in your mind. You may look like you've got yourself together on the outside but maybe you've got things that need fixing and decluttering in your mind

A super vivid dream from years ago. I was at worthersee in Austria, beautiful day and all of the girls I knew from my holidays there as a bairn were there in their bikinis.

I remember saying to one watch this as I gracefully dived into the lake, swimming underwater thinking wow barely a splash and started to come back up to the surface.... except I couldn't and remained less than a foot underwater. I woke up with a start and had obviously been holding my breath as I sucked big mouthfuls of air into my lungs.

Never had one that vivid again

One is my teeth falling out. Like all of them in one go.

The other is that I’m in a locked car that rolls backwards down a slipway into the sea.

I had a dream about being tortured by a gang of people tied to a chair in the cellar of a bar.

Really gruesome, I didn't flinch and then one got close to me, frustrated and went to whisper in my ear, so I bit into his jugular.

Then I woke up and ate my cornflakes.

I learned how to lucid dream from a very young age, so my dreams have always been so many different things over the years.

But there is one recurring dream I had prior to this, as a young boy, that has always stayed with me. Being both the most vivid and the turning point in dream states and control.

I was about 8 or 9 when I had this dream and I can still remember it vividly, many years later.

The perspective is third person, as if I'm watching a film.

There is a vast dry, sandy desert, scattered with brown rock formations. Some large, some small. What looks like ruined buildings are on the horizon.

A blue VW camper van moves across the desert. One of the side panels is red.

I follow the van, moving with it, from a distance. Dust is being kicked up behind, from the wheels.

The perspective changes to first person and it's me. I'm driving the van. I turn around to look behind me and see three others. I can't see their faces, but their clothing looks old and tattered.

A few minutes of driving pass, with no conversation or interaction with the other people and there is a sudden massive flash of light, that engulfs the entire area.

A violent nuclear explosion behind us rises up from the horizon.

I hear no sound, weirdly. The entire dream has been in silence.

The view perspective changes again so that I can see the van and the mushroom cloud at the same time. There is commotion in the van. Panic, fear, encouragement to drive faster.

I feel one of the passengers pat my shoulder rapidly and I put my foot down hard on the accelerator, so that we speed up. The van moves in a straight line, directly away from the explosion.

The shockwave slowly creeps towards the van.

No matter how fast we are going, it eventually catches up and engulfs everything. The dream turns a brilliant white and I can't see or hear anything for a few moments.

I wake up.

I had this dream many times. I don't remember exactly how many. I used to have recurring dreams all the time when I was little. Usually scary and always the same ones.

Now that is a weird thing for a young boy less than 10 to be dreaming of, right?

It gets weirder.

One night, I'm having that same dream. This is probably around the tenth or so time I've had it. Everything plays out as normal, up until the point where the shockwave is catching up on the van.

I feel a strange sensation. An awareness of what is happening. Almost as if I'm awake, yet I clearly know that I'm asleep.

I know now, that this was the start of my lucid dreaming abilities.

I take control of the dream version of me and steer the van off to the right, towards some rock formations.

The shockwave passes by the van, which is now shielded by the large rocks. Everyone survives.

Once it had cleared, I open the door and hand out various weapons to the others. They look handmade, crafted from scraps of metal and wood. Large blades, pistols and rifles. We put on makeshift armour and prepare ourselves to move.

I scan the rocks and see derelict buildings in the distance. We agree to move in that direction.

I still haven't actually heard anyone speak or seen any faces yet, but I hear the sounds of the weapons and armour. Guns cocking, the sound of sharp metal on leather, as blades are put into holsters.

We take up a position atop a rock formation and I use binoculars to scout the area. I see multiple mutants, deformed humanoids all with weapons, patrolling the buildings.

One of the mutants spots me and opens fire. A massive firefight breaks out and the sound is absolutely deafening.

That's where it ends. I wake up. I never have the same dream again, even years later.

After that point, I've been able to fully control or slightly manipulate dreams. Also wake myself up instantly, if I don't like the way something is going. Like a snap of the fingers and I'm awake.

I can remember pretty much every dream, even the multiple ones we tend to have each night (the average person has around 3 to 5 per night, you just don't tend to remember them) and it's extremely rare that I don't have any.

Did you watch a lot of violent films at that age? The landscape and explosions ect you describe are disorderly so could your childhood have been chaotic? The red door on the van is interesting. Maybe you've seen that exact van and it stuck in your head because it's odd

No, not at all. I was mostly playing with LEGO, out on my bike, Scalextric, football, climbing trees and watching cartoons. Classic kid stuff really. I didn't see any adult-themed content until I was roughly 10 or 11.

Yeah, my childhood was definitely chaotic. Violence was a big part of it, for many years, until I left home at 15 really.

I've always had a strong imagination, so I just put it down to that. An interpretation of what was going on. Just the imagery is weird for a little kid lol. And I have no idea where the van came from, or the idea of armed mutants.

It's very reminiscent of the Fallout games. Nuclear apocalypse, mutants, survivors, makeshift weapons. But Fallout wasn't released until 1997. This would have been around 1990.

The A-Team was still big then and incredible hulk was a mutant. The A-Team van was always gleaming clean, bulletproof and cool looking but your van was battered with a red door instead of red go faster stripes
