However it turns out the other artist didn't actually hold the rights to the music as he had already illegally sampled it from elsewhere.

Add that the artist who supplied the beat via the website is resorting to extortion (they had RENs hit removed from music platforms), and the girlfriend of the artist has spread shitloads over social media. Complete defamation of character.

It got messy, regardless of REN being civil. So it is all in lawyers hands now.

The song is a message. If this artist tries anything else going forward, RENs lawyers will have a field day.
