Confidence in taking photos

How are you all with it? Generally speaking I don't post a lot of photos. If I'm putting one up it's usually a spree of 20 pics and I choose whatever I think is the best one even then I'm fairly critical of it.

How are you with it? Oh and any tips for new and different photos 😄

Camberley occasionally doncaster

I try and make a lot of mine slightly more artistic. Just the way my brain works. I've had issues getting them past the mods and there is no way to argue it and you don't get feedback.

I'm crap with taking photos of myself, so when ever I think about taking a photo, i always ask a certain friend to help with it to make it look better, an get the best angle etc once their happy with it, I'll post it lol

I really enjoy taking photos and creating images. I could go months without being inspired and then I'll get a notion and take the shot.

I’m not great at taking photos sadly so usually snap off two or three and pick whichever one is least artistically offensive.

Not sure I can give any tips on this one...I believe that with an artistic eye - you either have it or you don't. What I can say for sure is that the 2 most important factors when you take a picture, are the angle and the lighting. Good luck 🙏

I usually take one on the spur of the moment without much thought and just crop and adjust the lighting.

I've never spent more than 5 mins on any pic and that includes editing time.

I've been told my pics are decent which is good to know but I post them for me rather than for fabs and I'm always confident in my ability to take one regardless of whether people like them or not.

It might vary a little depending on your phone but usually you just open the camera then swipe up from the bottom of the camera screen and it’ll bring up options including the timer.

I have to be in the mood to take them or it will be by someone I’m with, I usually take about 10 at a time and just pick one, a bit of cropping and changing to B/W that’s it.

There’s been many a time when I’ve taken some and not one has been kept though.

Whenever I shoot a load I end up having to clean it up before I do anything else.

I wouldn't say I lack confidence, but having an aging and 'average' physique doesn't warrant any reason for me to upload a new photo almost every day like most of my Forum friends or Hotlist'ers. (I have this unfaltering assumption that nearly everyone on Fab walks around with a tripod and a portable studio with the way they are churning out brilliantly creative photos day in and day out)

I just don't have the time or the propensity, and when I do it's a totally contrived opportunity such as having a rare child-free day, some privacy or I happen to be away for work and staying in a hotel. Adding to that any inspiration and creativity...I'll set up a scene, prep the room, juxtaposing items of furniture for the ideal shot.

The redux of my profile is few and far between and therefore I ensure the photos are quirky and embellished.

I get inspiration from movies I’m watching, other profiles & surroundings. I try not to over think 🤔 too much, just take a decent pic and post (those who like it will fab, those who don’t need to go spec savers 😜🤣)

I will be watching this thread for tips, i hate taking photos of myself it doesn’t come naturally.

I struggle to come up with original ideas for photos.

I see some on here and think they’re artistic and classy but don’t know how to replicate them. ☺️

I tend to take a few photos and then just pick the one where I least resemble a 1996 Fiat Punto.

I'm never going to reach the top of hot pics, but if I had Mario Testino taking my photos I wouldn't get further than page 7 so it's all good!

No confidence at all!

If contemplating a little Fab date I send vanilla face and full length pics taken by others. Selfie taking is like football to me... I can observe that many are passionate and some talented. Overall the sport is popular. I do not empathise and will not retain the offside rule between relevant social events.

On here I'm aiming to show a little personality only really

Not the best at it and don’t really enjoy it or know what to do. End up retaking them multiple times. Always say I’m not photogenic better in real life lol. Most women on here seem to be pros at it x

Tips:

Angles

Low lighting

Filters

If the above fails just use Google.

North East Scotland, mostly

Honestly, it’s something I’ve really enjoyed experimenting with since I joined fab, when I rarely took photos previously and certainly not any of myself! Started out pretty standard then got inspired to try more creative ideas through photo challenges and basic editing on my phone. I usually use hands free selfie mode and mess about with angles or ideas. I try to vary it.

I used to like taking pics and was confident doing them but I think as I’ve got older and the body changes I’m finding it harder to actually like the shots I’ve taken…though I still do try.

All I can say is try and have fun with it, that will come across in the shot.

It’s the inclination I lack these days.

At one time we loved setting kinky shoots up between ourselves and posting our favourites but as the years go by we just post holiday snaps instead.

We like taking pics, but a lot of ours are from holidays.

Thinking we would like to take some on a farm or similar.ie barnes or tractors.

Ours at the moment seem to be very similar, even though we try and change them up a bit.
