So how often do you spot someone from Fab and think should I say hello… or is that a weird thing to do ?

Maybe it’s even weirder as they currently have clothes on and seem to be married

We don’t normally say anything, it’s not the etiquette.

True, although we often wonder if it’s more fun to at least say hello. Especially when it’s just us two and they have definitely been making eye contact

This. Not cool to approach people when they’re living their lives away from fab. We all deserve privacy and space. Filth can be scheduled.

I decided not to chat to him about arranging a threesome at the squat rack.

Transsexual Transylvania

One guy from the next town messaged me here to say hi, and did I remember he'd said hello when he saw me in the street! I didn't remember - I probably thought at the time that I'd been mistaken for someone the person knew. I wouldn't have been dressed, which is doubly disconcerting. Anyway, I told him that I did not appreciate being approached unannounced, that he had no idea who I was with, or who was watching, and that it was a violation of my fab privacy. I told him never to do it again.

Then I blocked him.

Bloody hell.

You never approach somebody outside of fab in public for all of these reasons. You have no idea what their personal status and dynamic are.

Never. If you engage via Fab, it stays within Fab. And if you don't engage here, you never engage anywhere else. Have discretion and assume that it's unlikely that others will have interest in you. If you can't or don't engage here, then put your attention elsewhere

Totally agree with most of the sentiments on here: my Fab life is extraneous to my real life.

Unless, however, it was someone I recognised from either the SADF or the French Foreign Legion. There's a code of conduct that I must adhere to....I would say hello.

I think, if you really want to say something it may be better to write a message rather than approaching them in public: you never know which can of worms you may open

Even if I saw Rebecca and Joe, unless I was sure it was them and that nobody could hear our conversation, I think I’d rather send them a message saying “I just spotted you “

You forgot to mention the cub scouts, the Mormon Tabernacle, the Masons and the National Socialists - all have a special form of greeting that you must give. It would be quite remiss not to do so, but do make sure you get it right, no point "dib, dib, dibbing" to a Mormon, it just confuses them

But my wife has both surprised friends in a club and been spotted by family in the audience while modelling for a fetish demo.

If I know someone I may say, 'Hi'.

If I recognise someone, I might has a reflexive double take.

I might even message them on here asking if it was them I saw.

I'm not going to run up and ask them. As not everybody is out, and consent is important.

Over 10 years ago I was walking through the car park at the supermarket with my young son and a woman from Fab who I had met socially on a number of occasions came out of the supermarket heading to her car. We were both somewhat startled and hurried on our way with no words exchanged (might now do a username search to see if she is still here!)

It depends on the context.

If it’s somebody that I know and class as a friend no issue with that at all. If it’s someone I’ve met briefly for example had a social with and they’re discreet, I’ve not issue as long as it’s just a polite hello how are you?

If it’s a complete stranger I’d be a bit freaked out, especially if there was any level of reference to Fab or the scene.

Outside of clubs or social events, neither my wife nor I (couples account on here as well) have ever had anyone say hello or introduce themselves in what... 14 years on Fab? ...and we show our faces on all our accounts.

Then again, we do live in a relatively quiet-ish area for swinging and those who do indulge tend to want their privacy so wouldn't know them if we walked past them in the street.

"So. You go to a club, party or meet. You spend a few hours having a ‘social’ drink then having sex with someone but the next day you ignore them in the supermarket? How childish! We are all consenting ADULTS. I say hello to people I have never met before

Not so sure it's childish. More about being respectful and context sensitive. If someones with their friends, children, parents, work colleagues, siblings or even in their own and just choose to segment vanilla and fab worlds, that's their choice. They are just people though and as long as you didn't highlight where you met them ,why can't you say hi ,I wouldn't from my end but wouldn't have a problem saying hi to me , I don't see the problem it's just being neighbourly surely ?"

That I’d have no issue with, using my online name or talking fab in front of my children is another thing entirely.

Generally a nod and smile is more than enough, we are British!

The funny thing is that because we are British anyone saying hi or smiling towards us would automatically signify that they know us from Fab and that’s enough fun for most first random meets. Offering to get their cock out and play isn’t very British at all lol

Definitely passed you in a certain supermarket. I wouldn't say anything in public because I'm just too shy, lol"

We met a single guy for a social. He was quite nervous as we were his very first meet on FAB. He was nice enough so we said we’d look at meeting again.

A few weeks later we were in a country pub and he walked in with his wife and child in a pushchair.

I’ve never seen the blood drain out of someone so quickly.

We just gently smiled and then proceeded to politely ignore him.

We all have our reasons to be on FAB but once you’re here it’s definitely private unless you’re told otherwise. We would never have caused him grief.

As we left I think I could hear him breathe a sigh of relief from my position in the car park .

If someone recognised me in drab mode from how I look in glam mode, then I'm far worse at make up than I thought

"So how often do you spot someone from Fab and think should I say hello… or is that a weird thing to do ?

Maybe it’s even weirder as they currently have clothes on and seem to be married "

If it's people we know well and have moved into a general friendship with and thats our agreement with them, not a problem...otherwise would never intrude on anyone's real life at all...
