from an article in a magazine:

Raise your hand if you've ever gotten a bikini wax.

Now raise your hand if you've ever gotten a bikini wax simply because you thought that's what guys wanted.

If you've got that hand in the air, we've got some good news: That guy might not care as much about your bikini line as you thought. Or he does care, but a full-on Brazilian wax might not be necessary. A new study commissioned by hair removal company Nad's surveyed 1,000 men and found that their most preferred "look" was not a Brazilian, but rather "'trimmed and tidy' –- a well kept 'lady garden.'"

43 percent of men polled said they preferred women's hair natural with a "Bermuda triangle" (i.e. trimmed hair and waxed sides). 17 percent said they like a "landing strip," 15 percent dig a heart shape, and only 12 percent said they prefer a full-on Brazilian (no hair at all).

Sue Ismiel, CEO of Nad’s, noted, "Popular designs for women and it seems men are the landing strip, heart shape and triangle patch, indicating some hair is sexier to sport than 'the all-off.'"

Of course no study can speak for all men. But the new finding is good news for women who hate undergoing Brazilian waxing. Beyond being painful (which we can assure you firsthand it is), bikini waxes also carry several health risks, including infections, burns and -- get ready for this one -- STIs.

But hey, to each his -- er, her -- own.

I prefer it all smooth and I shave not wax as its too bloody painful and I'm smooth as I prefer it my hubby actually liked a bush down there

Big fan of smooth. However, long as it is trimmed up neatly and does not require a machete to hack through the unkempt bush, I'm happy.

How was the survey conducted? If they were asked face to face by a woman the answers may well be skewed by them saying what they thought might score points with that woman.

I do what is right for me and if a man (or another woman) doesn't like it that's their issue. No one is forcing them to meet me.

I'm the same as you, all trimmed but a natural shape and it says so on my profile. There are loads of us out there exactly the same. Only one bloke I met when I first joined Fab wanted me to shave but then he didn't do himself any favours. He said he absolutely wouldn't meet me again unless I got rid of all of it so I waved him bye bye.

No doubt there are people in clubs that have not approached me because of it but no matter, there are plenty who do.

After I joined Fab a guy suggested I tried shaving it all off, so because I thought yeah good idea I did it, just to see, looked strange for a few days, I love it so much nicer, just keeping it shaved is a pain in the neck. Was going to ask my beautician if she does brazilian but after reading the sti thing not so sure now

Used to wax all but a tiny landing strip but hubby has now asked me to go for the full brazillian so have been totally smooth for the past few months. I also pluck so I can prolong the smooth look for longer, this still means a waxing once a month... And yes it hurts like hell!

I have never had my "lady garden" or lack of it to suit anyone but me, I have had it waxed but found it a pretty unpleasant experience so I go from times of completely shaven to a landing strip.

However once shaven, growing it back out to then achieve a "pretty" landing strip is a pain and unsightly!

If I saw a lady with a hairy bush I would be right over their chatting them up as I love it hairy and to be honest the hairier the better for me

we are both natural and we go to clubs, the wife gets plenty of comment on her, trimmed bush, natural is more common and liked than most think, im sure most shave due to peir pressure thinkin that its expected more than preference

Like Kate, I'm a proper ginge (pictures from Fanuary prove it!) but now I kinda keep it close trimmed/shaven but my ladyshave is crap so I always end up with just a bit of fluff left - have had bikini wax (think freshly plucked chicken!) and have yet to pluck(!) up the courage to go for a full waxing of the lady garden - may ask the beautician at some point

We are both waxed really nervous at first I followed her advice and made sure therapist uses hot wax not strip didnt hurt as much as I was told it would. Now its easy! It feels amazing! Thanks shaniwax lol!
