I’ve got the chance to go on holiday next week …. But nobody to go with

Have you been away alone ?

I’m quite happy in my own company but i must admit i do feel a bit of a loner

Pretty good at making friends when out and about….

Any recommendations on locations for a single Pringle

Or if you want to come

I go to Majorca alone every year. Book myself into a busy resort then travel around the island by boat, buses and taxis.

Wherever

If I ever got a chance to go on holiday (unlikely), I’d love to go alone. Better than with someone you don’t enjoy spending time with in my opinion.

My dream destination is Iceland.

I went to Croatia alone and loved it.

I went all around on a bike, national parks and explored plenty.

The only times I felt a bit conscious was when having dinner in a bar and either there were groups of people and couples.

I’ve talked about this lots in recent past. I’m long term single and that’s not looking likely to change any time soon, but I hate the idea of going away on my own.

I know I’d get bored but the main thing is I would notice not being able to share the experience with anyone and make memories together.

I'm just back from a couple of weeks in Germany alone and love it, always. Total flexibility You get to meet people you probably wouldn't have, when not alone . Fantastic memories . And options open up that wouldn't have been there for you . So many reasons to go almost anywhere alone and get a lot from it

I've never had an issue with solo travel. Lots of forum threads over the years with ideas

I do it and absolutely love it. Finding friends to go with was too much work so I started going alone. Love not having to think about anyone else and having to freedom to go with the flow, meet new people.

I’ve been on holiday alone several times and I love it! You get to do exactly what you want and not have to worry about someone else being bored.

Bristol

I used to do it years ago.

I'd pack a bag, go to the airport and see what flights had free seats and go from there.

Head into the departure lounge, sort myself out an B&B, book that and all done and sorted.

I managed to get some amazingly cheap holidays that way

I tend to go on a few holidays throw out the year and always alone . Yes it works out more expensive at hotel etc due to single occupancy costs.

admittedly I do miss having company sometimes or a female to enjoy holiday with

Wirral.

I always holiday alone. Been to various countries Greece, Italy, Malta, Tunisia, Portugal, Germany. I'm not one for lying on beaches, I'm always out and about and regularly make friends.

Italy and Malta are my faves.

Go. Do it.

I'm a lone wolf and more than happy doing things on my own.

Do whatever you want and embrace any opportunities.

Enjoy.
