"I've taken out an audible subscription because I've found reading difficult since have surgery on my eye a couple of years ago. I just added the most recent Bob Mortimer novel to my library. 'The Avocado Hotel'. I recommend his first 'The Satsuma Complex' if you like his whimsical style. I also recommend Audible because you can listen while doing something else " Ooo he’s written a second book?! I liked the satsuma complex so will definitely download the avocado hotel. OP Bob Mortimer is a good shout, not overly long and an easy writing style. | |||

If nobody told me who the author was I'd still know it was him after reading the first couple of pages. I'm going to reread Satsuma Complex before I start on Avocado though | |||

"I read one fiction and one non-fiction alternatively. Finished reading "Station Eleven" by Emily St John Mandel. Loved the book. Currently reading "Does the center hold? An introduction to Western philosophy" by Donald Palmer " I have just read Station Eleven, I loved it so beautifully written. I am on a Dennis Lehane binge at the mo, just reading Mystic River, if you like thrillers he is a good read, and they have made some brilliant films from his books. | |||
