I didn't wear trainers, except for the godawful military issue ones we had to wear for light PT in the army.

My go-to footwear for everyday wear was a pair of canvas boots. I lived in them.

When I was at school I’d go into the lost and found and pick a pair of the girls trainers to wear for gym one pair I remember where white converse copy’s with pink laces I wore them all the time for gym

late 90's: turned to Etnies and have been wearing them ever since. Lo-cut II's last for years! (but no, I still don't have the same pair, they wear out eventually!!)

I had a pair of Acupuncture trainers, which were the comfiest things to put on my feet. Also a pair of Nike Cortez which were pretty lush. Early 90s I mostly wore Nike Air Max.

I never but anything because it had an expensive brand name.

I buy stuff to be practical and that will last.

I used to buy Karrimore walking boots because the looked good, very comfortable and lasted - now they fall apart after a few weeks use (99% its the sole falls off - cheap manufacturing now that they're made in China) and the price has trebled, so won't be getting them anymore.
