Please can I ask a general question especially for the guys on this site. Why do you not read people's profiles? Does it not make it easier to know what the person is looking for and also to not get rejected. We have profiles for a reason to write what we like and don't like as we all have personal preferences so why do people not read them.

Don't forget any contact is what is seeked on here, some get off on having 10 women looked at them, some love any sort of message. unless you block, your profile is available for all to see and contact you, in which ever way they see fit. Sifting through unsuitable profiles to find your gems, is a way of life on here.

Because these arseholes expect results with minimum cut and paste effort, they just try the ‘message cannon’ approach (“Hey, maybe someone will eventually respond”). Why the fuck would they bother reading what you want.

I think guys do read profiles, well some do I can't speak for all the same can apply to women and whomever. I'm pretty sure women have just gone onto a guys profile and messaged them without taking a single glance at there profile. Sure it may not be so common but it does happen. Myself I like to hope there's something at least that will capture my attention not just the pic. If I find something that's within my own interests I'll message them if I don't get a reply I just leave it move on.

It's renaissance was during the first wave of COVID, where people had very little to do except write garrulous pieces of biographical text with the vain hope that, once lockdown was lifted, it would lead to dates and courtships with like-minded Fabbers of a certain calibre. Fab for lots of people is a numbers game.

Ask enough, eventually someone says yes.

Reading 50 profiles and sending individual messages doesn’t necessarily guarantee you anymore success than sending 50 generic ones. So why would you take all that extra time and effort for the same result?

I do take the effort to read and message accordingly but I can understand why people don’t and it’s not just exclusive men who don’t. Women and couples do it also.

Some see pics and that's it, they don't bother reading the words.

It doesn't matter what length your profile is either, I've had shorter and it still wasn't read by some men.

There are couples and women who do the same, I blocked couples as I have no interest in them and stated that in my bio, they still messaged me.

Think of it as a good filter.

It's not just men, it's all variances on here.

However, there does seem there is a majority - not all, of course - of that demographic who sign up for this site thinking it'll be a easy way to get a hookup like Tinder or the like, and they'll quickly get a shag without too much fuss or effort. Obviously, it'll work for a tiny proportion but not the majority.

I read profiles . Have found though .If I see on a profile that does not be compatible with mine . No contact. Yes some couples and females do not read also. Recently message from a couple to me. I read theirs and saw that we were not compatible . Informed them of this. Reply came back that they only looked at my photo’s and yes not that far from them.

This is my experience. Men are very visual and many on here seem desperate and lacking in online social skills.

This results in messages based solely on them liking the photos. On the positive side it has resulted in the occasional nice chat.
