What do you think of filtered photos?

I don’t mind the odd filter but I always think that I want to see the real person not the filter.

Have you ever met someone who looked nothing like or very little like their photos as they were filtered.

I’m not much one the ones that make the skin look like blemish free plastic doll like, those ones that make eyes look massive and overly white, or the ones that pretty much change the look and shape of the face.

I love a filter, but a light filter, I'd never adjust my body/shape/size/Stretch marks and all just change the lighting.

If people expect me monochrome in real life then that's a them problem 😂

None of my pics have filters except the black & white 1s, that seem to take my wrinkles away changing from colour to B&Q, if anybody expects to meet a 50 year old with no wrinkles, that’s on them!

It's off putting. We saw a Women in her 40s in a club who was a regular on Fab. In her photos she looked unbelievably wrinkle free and cartoonlike. In the club she looked very different and quite unhappy.

I'm not a fan of filters designed to actually change the appearance of someone. Doesn't seem much point having pictures up that don't look like the person.

I do chuck a monochrome on or occasionally adjust for the lighting since my purple bedroom light is sometimes too too purple on a shot. But I don't think anyone who's met me would say I don't look like my photos 💜

Appearance changing filters are ridiculous.

What’s the point? Are you going to make people only look at you via the camera phone when you meet ? Although when you see people at concerts and sporting events now , that’s what they do.

I prefer the natural look, so that you know what you're potentially going to be getting yourself into

The filtering can be kept for personal relief and magazines. But I'd be desperately happy if my mirrors could do a realtime filtering, as I get a little shocked, too frequently, when I catch a glimpse of myself

I don't think I'd call it a filter as such.

I like to see photos where someone has put a little thought in, rather than a butcher's slab flaps akimbo.

I suppose it's more about someone making an effort to me. Most people aren't freshly showered and shaved wearing their sexiest underpants most of the time, but I prefer if they'd showed up at my door that way too.

The holey underpants over a shit stained toilet might well be how they usually see their cock. But if that's how I'm going to be seeing it when they're with me, then I don't want them with me.

But I suppose everyone views it differently.

Men tend to just post full on pics, with women there's lingerie, there's angles and stuff. It shows creativity maybe, but hides a multitude of sins. I'm fully guilty of it.

I have no issues whatsoever with filters. They can enhance the overall image, create a mood effect, lighting techniques, emphasis on a certain item or object within the photo and so forth. As long as filters aren't being used to augment the subject or detract from how they look then it's all fine.

Personally, I don't care much for superimposed images, such a 'bunny ears' or speech balloons etc.

There's plenty of women that just slap it out too according to my local updates. And plenty of men around that make an effort with their photos.

The gender balance on fab obviously means I see far more half arsed cock shots than I do ham wallets, but it's a total gender divide on efforts.
