West mids mountain biking.

Does anyone on here from the west mids go mountain biking? Cannock Chase is really good but does anyone know any other good locations?

I'm afraid I'm a bit north of the border, but you really should get up to the 7 Stanes (Ae, Glentress etc). Innerleithen XC route is superb too.

Where in the midlands are you ??

I'm south brum and there's a fair bit as long as u own a car ?

Cannock ,wyre forest,lickey hills,clent and more. Depends what type of riding your after ?

When i lived in central-ish Brum I used the canal towpaths, sandwell valley and sutton park. Maybe not the most inspiring trails but could do some huge loops and get q lot of miles in. Did Brum to stratford on the towpaths, through the lanes to Wsrwick and then back on to the towpaths and back to Brum a few times which was always a big ride.

llandegla forest in wales is brilliant, fully maintained tracks of varying difficulties, free to go, all you pay is a fiver parking!

the bike hut has a great restaurant too, couldnt recommend it enough. quick google search will bring up their website

Fantastic, also do night rides too and provide halogen lights. Yet to try it but intend to this year.
