Ok - this is rather random, but got chatting to a lady in the supermarket today.

She was on about the biscuits and how great it is they are on sale - but she only allwed one a day as was a diabetic.

She then proceeded to tell me about an ice cream which is made for Diabetics.

I dont know any Diabetics personally myself - but she was so keen to spread the word that i feel i should do a pst in her honour.

She had written to the editor of Asda magazine etc - and gotten no response which in all respect is quite sad.

The ice cream she mentioned is called Franks Icecream, at the moment is only in Vanilla but they are bringing out more flavours in the new year.

So if you know of any Diabetics at all who do enjoy ice cream, please pass on this info - then i feel i hve done my thing for this lady who is obviously trying to do so much.

Cheers my lovelies xxxxx

I love this place.

That poor lady in the shop was desperate to tell people and help - she was a diabetic herself - and being older has had to endure none diet friendly stuff.

Hope those of you that do know diabetics, that this little bbit of info helps - as Tesco always say - "every little helps"

Brill!!!

I hope that the do bring new flavours as promised - but the vanilla has gone well, so hopefully they will.

The lady who randomly talked to me (honest she approached ME - and NO not to get something off the top shelf for a change) she was really chuffed and wanted to spread the news - and esp for kids who love ice cream.

Bless.

I'd check the carb content of the ice cream before you try it. It high. That will spike anyone's BG.

I've had Insulin dependent Diabetes for 25 years and I just eat the same food as everyone else. Foods labelled suitable for Diabetics are usually much more expensive and offer no benefit over normal food.

Eat well, Eat sensible and life will be OK
