vera playa, Almeria

A guy I used to work with would collect dead insects and small animals then put them in resin. He would get really excited seeing a dead mouse or beetle.

I collect stickers I find stuck on lamposts around town. I stick them in my diary and they form a social commentary of the times. Got loads around covid. More recently its the Palestinian conflict pro/against and the Trans movement. Like the ones advertising tattoo studios and niche brewery too.

I make electronic music, mostly using DIY electronics.

None of it is fit for public consumption.

I make it for me.

Dioramas but not so much now some binned or lost and didn't take pics of all.

An easy one: Super glue a few CDs/DVDs together then mix sand or aquarium sand and pva together then apply with obvious down slope for waters edge. Can drybrush with white paint if it's white sand and ground some shells up sprinkle over and fix in place with watered PVA. Use gloss varnish in layers for the sea and white paint for the waves effect. Can buy cheap model palm trees on ebay or make your own using feathers and sticks.

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

What an interesting thread.

Thank you for reminding me about. Magnet fishing.

What was your best find OP?

Where I live, the rivers are pretty clean, the only knife I've found is the type you take on a riverbank picnic to slice your pork pie.

My other treasures wemains of a fence post with a nail in...a magnetic stone..a piece of rebar lost when they were sureing up the bank.

I may venture into town tomorrow.

Dungeons and Dragons! Probably the most nerdiest thing ever but it’s great fun! Basically it’s collaborative story telling - I enjoy it because it really gets my creative gears moving. Roleplaying a fictional character with real personalities in a world with real consequences and endless adventures is an experience… Trust me!

Fence post and a rebar? Keep it up for another 98 years and you'll be able to start a building supplies company
