TL;DR - I like games.
LONG VERSION -
I've dabbled with games from a very young age, across many different platforms over the years.
Never forget the first one I played either. The now-ancient Radofin Telesport 10. It had 10 different "PONG" style sports games. Hockey, football, badminton. Can't quite remember what the others were.
It grabbed my attention straight away. The perfect companion for (then undiagnosed) ADHD lol.
Little did I know that it was the start of something that would span most of my life (so far).
BBC, Commodore, Amiga, Master System, Mega Drive, Mega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, PSX, PS2, N64, GameCube, Xbox, 360 Elite, One X and recently a Series X.
Also a scattering of mobile games and PCs. The previous being an insanely massive and expensive water-cooled tower for a few years (up until a while ago, when I decided to stick with consoles). A random gift from one of my oldest friends, because he's a legend.
In the end, I did become fed up with constant PC maintenance and opted for the simpler "plug & play" console option. It's done wonders for my stress levels and anger lol.
Looking back, I've played a ridiculous amount of games and owned so many computers and consoles. It's crazy really. Having experienced almost the birth (not quite, but relatively close, at least when it entered people's homes) and seen the growth of gaming, it's been an experience that's for sure.
I don't have most of them anymore. Some broke, some sold, abandoned, lost, who knows. I do still have the PS2 stored away and the old Xboxes. Even bought a SCART to HDMI adaptor for the original Xbox, purely for Pirates of the Carribbean. Probably the best pirate game ever made. Yarrr!
Nowadays, I spend most of my gaming time with either Fallout 4 or Skyrim. With mods, of course. Usually building up settlements in Fallout. Exploring and hunting in Skyrim at the moment, having just modified the game to a fairly decent level.
Occasionally hop on something else, from time-to-time. Usually a random Indie game, such as Kingdom: Two Crowns, Paleo Pines (fantastic and beautifully chilled dinosaur farming game) or paint a car on Forza Horizon 4.
At this point, I'm actually unsure of the reason behind this.   Suppose I did title it with "Ramblings" lol.
Anyone else share an interest in games, have any stories, nostalgic memories, opinions? Anything goes. Don't have to be hardcore into it either. A little blast on Township or Angry Birds is still gaming in my eyes.
Replying isn't my strongest suit (thanks, distrac...), but I'll try and definitely enjoy reading any responses! | |||

My current collection includes a SNES, a PS2, a PS3, a PS4, a PS5, an Xbox 360, an Xbox One, a Wii, a Game Boy Advance, a 3DS, and a Switch. My first home computer was an Acorn Electron, on which I loved playing Chuckie Egg and Blitzkrieg. My tattoos are also all going to be video game themed. I currently have the Hylian Crest from The Legend of Zelda tattooed on my back, and my next planned one is Pac-man chasing ghosts on my forearm." Don't know if I can call myself a massive gamer anymore lol. Its more the history I have with them. Doesn't take up as much of my life as it used to, but it's still a nice escape to decompress. Ah, see a mate had the Nintendo, I had the SEGA. Best of both worlds at the time. That's a great collection! Little bit of everything. I had an original Gameboy for a while, but never really ventured into the handhelds. Oh man! I forgot about the Acorn Electron, with the expansion pack thing that plugged into the back! My uncle had one and I spent many hours making the screen say silly words in different colours, while listening to his Queen and Brian Adams tapes lol. Can't recall any of the coding though, apart from each line began with 10, 20, 30 and so on. Haven't played many Zelda games, to be fair. Only the Wind Waker one, for GC back in the day. Which was so good. That's some commitment to gaming, for sure. Hope you enjoy them! Couldn't ever have a tattoo myself. Phobias of this and that, but still cool to see the end results on other people. Mate of mine has a pretty cool classic Sonic on his arm. | |||

Aw, that's cool when they're something personal and have meaning behind them. I absolutely understand what you mean there too. They've probably helped me more than I realise. Still are, really lol. But these days, it's spliced with dogs, walks in the wood and good company. Well, whenever my shoulder decides to behave anyhow. 
Games helped me quit smoking, for one. Kept my brain and hands occupied, so I didn't obsess about it and overall wasn't too difficult.
They've been there through good and bad, built up memories and achieved many things for many people. Especially those with mental or physical health issues. Most of my friends with neurodivergent brains play games too. They're not just time wasters to some, they're tools!

I've played most of the single player titles. Have a fondness for XII, actually. I don't know why, it just does it for me lol.

I'm finding it harder to enjoy games, but still find some periods where I do genuinely have fun. Same here, absolutely adored my 1200 (RIP) and sat glued to it throughout my teens. The Settlers, Elite, Dune II, Flashback, Lemmings, so many good games. I also spent hours making rave tracks on OctaMED SoundStudio (and later bought the PC version), ripping the .wav files from anything I could find. Including Worms at one point, which was just weird but everyone loved it lol. What sort of games are you interested in? I have a fair mix, but mostly RPG. Might be able to suggest something. | |||

"I miss Twin Kingdom Valley on my relic Commodore 64™. ♥️" Old text-based RPGs were so innovative and a fantastic burst of interactive storytelling. In a way, it's a shame that most modern games have VA now. Kinda why I enjoy the Fallout and TES series, because there is still SO much to read in-game. Specifically the earlier titles, without a main character voice, so you could imagine how they sounded when choosing dialogue. | |||

Forgot about Dune! On Amiga I lived daft games like North v South, Indy500 and the obvious , Champ Manger. On SNES I loved Desrt and then Jungle Strike. | |||

I think they remade North v South on the Xbox. Fairly certain I've seen it on the store at some point. It rings a bell. Desert and Jungle Strike! Oh, man. Those are incredible games.
