A police watchdog investigating 8 forces found that specialist officers who deal with allegations of r@pe and sexual assault are routinely diverted away from their specialist roles to be sent to football matches and festivals. This means that arrests of suspects and interviews with victims are often cancelled. Now Tom is no expert but has been told that he would have been a good detective. Is the Chief of Police failing us? It's all over the news.
