When we moved to Greece 20yrs ago, my then 10-year-old son missed his Saturday treat of Mcdonalds, but we lived on an island and it was an hour round trip just for a bloomin' Happy Meal. As soon as he tried the Gyros, we never heard him mention the 'M' word again 😁

I still cook gyros pittas at home. Mmmm, I'm craving one now 😋

I usually do go for protein cheese, eggs, meat etc. I tend to eat lowish carb most of the time but I think my blood sugars must have dipped because I was getting the shakes and sweats so I've increased my carb intake today and the hunger is abating a little. If it doesn't stop I need to get my thyroid function checked

"I had one yesterday. 🫃

A colleague was a holiday rep in Greece. She used to fantasise about gyros

Plan for the weekend?"

I think it will be now, Mrs Nice, or something Greek at least 😊 I don't miss living there, but I do miss the food

If no time to cook, then a double dose of snickers chocolate bar for a quick fix. If a bit more time, some scrambled eggs on toast or an omelette (my famous frittata mre soecifically). Otherwise something from the freezer like shepherds pie.

Quite often though I just make a right big salad with everything thrown in and that does it for me

I rarely feel hunger. My brain constantly tells me to eat and I ignore it until I see something I want to put in my mouth.

I think it's partly what's wrong with my stomach and something to do with Serotonin.

I prefer savoury over sweet but will eat chocolate instead of cooking.

While it's a good meal, I can't stand bananas. They're too weird, texture-wise.

The girls and I when we get hungry we will jerk a whole roast chicken.

Eat the pieces and then shred it up with rice and peas.

Throw what's left on wraps with spicy mango chutney for supper, with a bit of salad.

If it's just me, I will fry myself a ribeye with eggs. The king of breakfasts.

That's some pretty good eating, hunger monster well and truly vanquished.
