I thought we could all do with more info about any of the popular city destinations. Add anything that might help, like where to stay such as hotels, airbnb or b&bs, where to eat, what clubs, bars and other venues might you know off and generally what to do when there that other fab members will appreciate knowing. Let's share tips and information. Also posters can ask specific but relevant questions.

Nobody commented on this one yet but I really like it. Love the open space in the city, less claustrophobic than other places, friendly people, lots of good places to eat and drink and all the usual hotels to stay at. I try and visit as often as I can.

Wolverhampton

I had a great weekend here. Went to the Cavern Club. Stayed in a central premier inn. Then the next day went to the Gormley statues at Crosby beach, incredibly haunting

The Lisbon is where it's at for queers, fantastic little pub. The craic is the best Irish pub

Mowgli for the best Indian Street food this side of Mumbai

Don't limit yourself to Liverpool one for shopping, check out lark lane, bold Street and the báltic market.

Calderstones and Sefton park both worth a nose around, as is Speke Hall for any history buffs (Tudor era mansion with a very interesting history, national trust property now)

St George's Hall is stunning too if you get a chance to go inside

In terms of clubs there's only really townhouse which isn't my vibe, much prefer cupids which is a bit of a drive from the city centre but definitely doable

I work in the City and used to live there and you’ve had some great advice so far.

Sefton Park and Lark Lane is just off it, plenty of cafes, pubs and on certain Saturdays a market at the bottom of the lane.

I love Bold Street and my favourite place is FACT cinema, from art films to Hollywood output. That you can get some great food and drink prior to a visit is also a bonus.

Catch the Ferry across the Mersey and you can have a nice walk to New Brighton. Has a bit of a modern and old fashioned vibe about it. Although I wouldn’t go inland just stick to the beach area.

All in all it’s a friendly city and has more to it than the typical stereotypes the media spouts off about scousers. This from a lad from Bolton who now loves the place.

If you like views 'the Brow' or Everton Brow is pretty good.

Or the top of the Cathedral but you need a ticket for that and a lot of steps. Good for keeping that ass in shape though.

Dubai & Nottingham

I love Liverpool, I find it much more interesting than Birmingham, Manchester, & York .

I like the west tower , sunset cocktails at Panoramic 34.

Royal Albert Dock area.

Crosby Beach , photographing the eerie statues at sunset.
