Up or bottoms down?

Do you prefer to look after the rim, or are you more concerned with making sure the inside is nice and clean?

Denizens of the Fab Lounge, which way up do you store your cups and glasses?

Go!

Here and there

Used to be down. Now it's up mainly.

I might throw the occasional curveball and put one the opposite way.

Keeps everyone on their toes that way

Interesting. We're a bottom up household, never had a problem with the rim.

I suspect your Edinburgh crystal glassware refracts the backlighting better bottom down.

It's good to add a little spice every now and again.

Bottom up. Always.

On little rubber mats with holes so air gets to them.

If you store them bottom down and don't use them regularly.....dust!!

Oh, I have no concerns for the rim. I simply wish to extract the glassware from the cupboard without having to expend ½ a calorie flipping it over.

Extra hardwear and anchor points 🫠

Sadly my kitchen is so old these weren't even invented. Do you also have a mug tree?

A little more effort when you are putting it in though?

Glassware is always stored rim up

A mouthful of dust is the last thing you want when you put it to your lips for the first time in a while.

Bottoms go at the bottom. Ain’t nobody want to drink out of a cup that’s been sat upside down on a shelf or cupboard unless it’s been wiped clean…
