 I lived by the coast for a few years when I was a teen and always wanted to move back in my adult years.
I am from southeast London, and have lived around-about this area, give or take a few years, most of my life.
I am a competitive fighter and spend most of my free time training for that in one way or another, a lot of the time I’m with really good friends, so it doesn’t feel like work after work all of the time I don’t think I will ever be professional but I’m good enough to enjoy it at least | |||

"Hey OP I live in the Forest of Dean. That means occasionally wild boar break into the garden. It is stunning here though, just going for a walk in the forest makes me relax. "We live on the Norfolk Roads on a boat. Been here 5 years since I retired at 60 and we love it. Debs has a long commute but works from home a couple of days a week. I now work part time in the homeless sector which I've always been passionate about but couldn't have afforded to do it as a career. I also keep bees (not on the boat obviously) which is something I've wanted to do since pre-school age. " That sounds amazing, what kind of boat is it? A canal boat or the other kind? (Forgive my ignorance on boats!) have always enjoyed the idea of the lifestyle - especially the canal boats! Homeless sector sounds rewarding, and difficult without a doubt - how did you get into doing that? | |||

Awesome! How did you find the adjustment? And what made the mrs finally come full time? "The biggest adjustment was the downsizing part. We have got a storage unit nearby were we keep things like winter clothes during the summer and vice versa. Other than that the other thing we have found is that initially our idea was we would be able to cast off on a Friday and spend the weekend bimbling around the Broads. Unfortunately, when you live aboard, this isn't as easy as it sounds. There is too much "stuff" that would need to be secured, a freezer full of food that needs shore power etc. etc. Next year, when Debs can retire, we can look at moving into a flat and keep the boat for what it's meant for. | |||
