Mainly because I think the skaragard boy playing him is absolutely gorgeous

Be curious to see how it measures up against the original

I for one love the original. Great casting, great baddies, awesome soundtrack and don't get me started on Brandon Lee mmmmmm. It's a 100% 90s movie and brings back memories or that era.

However I do love a bit of Bill Skarsgård and love how he looks in this movie. My profile practically describes him as what I'm looking for. I'm defo looking forward to it.

I’ll watch it more out of curiosity, than a comparison.

For me, this is for a new generation, a whole new audience that will have never heard of The Crow, let alone seen the original movie.

I'm hoping that a lot have. I mean I watch Rebel without a cause when I was a teen and that was 30 years after James Dean.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I am looking forward to watching it being a big fan of the series (bar for Wicked Prayer which was absolutely abysmal!)

I only wish they would have had Bill play another ‘Crow’ though as opposed to Eric Draven who really should not have been touched (not least of all in respect to the brilliant, late Brandon Lee).

After all, we’ve had Vincent Perez playing Ash, Eric Mabius playing Alex and Edward Furlong playing Jimmy in City of Angels, Salvation and the aforementioned (rather dreadful!) Wicked Prayer respectively; why therefore couldn’t the makers just have continued the series as opposed to remaking/rebooting?

The trailers do look good though and Danny Huston always plays a great bad guy so I’m confident it will at least be a good film 😃

I probably won't watch it. Anything to do with The Crow that isn't the first film is usually bad.

The Brandon Lee film has a type of aura around it. The style, the way the city looks, Brandon Lee's performance and the tragedy involved with the making of it. Such a shame Lee didn't live to make more movies.

I only actually watched The Crow for the first time quite recently even though my sister had it on VHS back in the day. I thought it was fine but I didn't love it. That said, Brandon Lee's look was iconic and it feels like a totally unnecessary remake of a film that still looks good today.

No word of a lie I've watched the Original crow probably over a 100 times especially as a late teen, and I love the film, didn't mind the sequel, the third sucked ass, I tried to get into the TV show bit lost interest

I will watch the new one in Morbid curiousity but it will never touch the original, by looks of the trailer it's only similar in name, so will probably fall into remake like Total Recall or Robocop which were passable but not a patch on the original.

There were three supposed sequels but the first sequel didn't do well so the third and fourth were direct to dvd

My memory of the first movie is it was one of the few movies my dad walked out of it.

Redditch

I've watched all five so far.

Yes, there are four sequels, so far.

All with the same story (guy returns from grave, for revenge)

So is it a re-make, or just another chapter?

So yeah, probably give the new one a go.

""Nipple Eyed Crow" - a friend christened it this when she noticed the frankly hilarious tattoo on one of the early stills from the film and I can't get it out of my head! "

The curse of bad tattoos. There was this absolutely gorgeous young lad on her a few years back. Perfect body and really pretty face but he had photos of babies faces tattooed on his chest. I just couldn't go there.

"Who is looking forward to watching the remake? Who thinks the original is sacrosanct and should not have been remade?

"

I am curious about the new one, but I'm absolutely of the latter persuasion. I re-watched the original very recently, and it does hold up pretty well visually, stylistically and story-wise, which makes me wonder why would they even go for a remake (money, I know, but still...)?

The new, Alien- Romulus film is a must watch, really captures the feel of the first film especially with the use of practical affects. Plus some really good horror vibes throughout.

My next film is Gladiator 2

I do have a tendency to fall asleep in cinemas. Spacey or Sci fi films are the worse as they are so dark

I think it's the new generation of viewers. I watched it yesterday and it still looks great but I still think 1994 was 5 years ago.

It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but I don't regret seeing it.

Plus if you like Bill you will enjoy many topless scenes and few butt scenes👀

I do genuinely want to see it. The naked, pale, skinny tortured soul is frosting

Still waiting to see "that" scene of Aemond from house of the dragon

And there are soooooo many shit films to choose from. Most people wouldn't even know they were a remake.

Exactly!! But making remakes that aren't as good as the originals is upsetting... Some they could have at least called something else and nobody would have known... Although the newer generations seem to enjoy shite content if most of Netflix is anything to go by... It's all so lazy these days

I don't have any of those viewing apps thingys so all my bad viewing decisions are pre meditated. Going to watch the crow tomorrow morning hopefully in an empty cinema.

We went on Saturday and there was 6 of us, so I think you will be fine 😂

Also, controversial opinion, but we watched the original movie yesterday (that's as old as me 😭) because my husband has never seen it before, and he said he liked the new one more. Which is not great as he scored the new one 5/10.

It's good to have a unbiased opinion as so many on here grew up with the original. 5/10 is OK

Ok seen the "remake" ...I can officially call this movie an abomination. Why they had to use the character of Eric Draven for this movie (because this is just Eric Draven in name only, and so far removed from his story) and not just use another character in the Crow universe (like they did with the other spin off movies) is beyond any intelligent person's comprehension- it's just dumb Hollywood people coming up with shit that they think is smart. I also don't understand the continues romanticism of toxic relationships between "damaged" people, in movies (like we don't know in the real world most of those relationships tend to become abusive). And lastly What the fuck was up with that ending - it makes ZERO sense (no seriously the movie all togheter makes ZERO sense with that ending...it's like the movie itself never happened - wish it never happened in the real world🙄). 🖕 this movie - save your money and time 🙏
