Or have you ever taken a day off work ( mysterious 24hr bug ) for the opportunity to meet someone from fab?

If you wouldn’t, why not? And if you did, how did it go?

Asking for a friend of course

Dubai & Nottingham

Never thrown a fake sickie, but I have booked days off lots of times to spend it with people on here.

Why not ? It’s not who I am l, I treat my employers/clients the same way I expect them to treat me, honestly and with loyalty.

^ What he said.

I don’t take sickies. Not for anything. But I’m happy to book days of leave for Fab adventures.

My boss would immediately know what was up. But he would just tell me to go and have fun, and that the work can wait. :D

Only taken a sickie for non sickness when the turbo blew in the car and I couldn’t get in.

My boss knew but it had to go down as sickness to comply with company policy

Never taken a fake sickie and can count on one hand the number of days I've taken off due to illness.

Definitely wouldn't be taking a day off for a fab meet as fab is very low on my list of priorities.

Never a sickie, ad hoc annual leave purely to match the day off that a meet was available. Hotel booked and a good time had. Well worth the leave.

Covent Garden

Absolutely.

Most of my Fab one-to-one socials — coffee, libations or luncheons — are during work/office hours; disappearing for the afternoon or absconding from work. The flexibility of my job allows this.

If it's a romantic dalliance 😈 then I sometimes take a ½ day off or even a full day. I have no qualms about doing this. 💘

I've pre booked days off and had spur of the minute sickies to go and meet someone or just have a chill day for myself at somewhere like Bristol Gardens or if the weather is good, eurekas.

I'm self employed so as long as the job gets done it doesnt really effect anyone else but me

I’ve not taken a sick day for a fab meet, those are always planned in advance and if I can’t get the day, use AL.

I have pulled sickies for partners and to stay in bed having sex all day though

Not a sickie, no, but I have booked days off to meet up. If I book a long weekend it's always to spend time with a FWB.

Mind you, I booked a day off so I could spend it wanking once. Doesn't take much for me to book time off.
