Two Tier Policing

Reports from Ireland, famous as a safe place to live because there are no poisonous snakes living there, that the Chief of Police is investigating his men who, after a football victory by Armargh, danced with fans and drove along with the winners flag to celebrate and entertain the crowd. Contrast those officers who will no doubt be sacked, banned etc where in England the police drive rainbow coloured cars and dance with revellers celebrating Pride. Two Tier Policing surely. It's all over the news

What's being done wrong in either instance? Police marching at Pride would typically be in their own free time and building closer ties with the community is a good thing, especially when institutional homophobia is still recognised in some police forces.

I dont quite think youve grasped the two tier policing thing chap.

Especially as it's a bloody conspiracy theory anyway.

Well.in the sense you mean, it's actually two tier in the other direction.

Of course it's in the UK but it's also undeniably Ireland, albeit not of the "Republic of Ireland".

Given you've confused a two week old story with 'all over the news' are you sure talking about standards isn't a tad ironic..

How about if the pride police are playing football? Will they have to find a mid tier making it 3 tiers? Will kier earn a new name? Triple tier kier?

Why am I asking you?

Are you mixing up “Ireland “ and “The Republic of Ireland”

Armagh is very definitely in Ireland.

Specifically, it is in Northern Ireland.

Nobody suggested that it is in the Republic

The term “two tier” is absolute nonsense. There are hundreds of variations in how laws are enforced and applied, varying with circumstances and timing.

Anyone who tries to simplify policing into a suggestion of being “two tier” is grossly oversimplifying
