Secret hideaway in the pennines

So lat night cooking dinner, I put a frying pan in the oven to finish off cooking something, took it out with a towel, put it on the hob top whilst I finished off the rest of the dinner, without even thinking, I went to grab the handle and very swiftly went ouch as it burnt my thumb and three fingers, I now have several blisters which is going to make teaching a rope class tomorrow interesting.

Not to self, next time use the towel to pick the bloody pan up

Took delivery of concrete base panels, it was a Friday afternoon shorts tea shirt slippers, took them to garden ready for next day then had an amazing idea I would just put one in see what it was like, lifted one put i between the 2 posts got jammed pushed it down over a meter straight onto big toe split crushed k is a nurse took me to hospital told doctors what I had done they laughed for ten minutes before telling me I needed surgery the most painful thing I have ever done

I'm not adventurous when it comes to just doing something on the spur of the moment, my kids know this and regularly would call me Doris as I was and still am prone to going "whoop" when I walk (clumsy is not the word) and say "the call of the Alison"...one day we was in the woods about 10 years ago, there was a rope swing, they all had a go, looked ok and I was trying to be more fun, so I got on it and as soon as my feet left the floor from the little hill, I panicked and went down like a sack of spuds, hurt my elbow and went to the hospital, nothing broken but it swelled with fluid and was so so painful, they told me to elevate it in bed, so there I was with a belt tied to my arm...I mean now that's an every day occurrence 😂, the hospital rang me 2 days later asking me to come back, I had broke my elbow, ever so slightly and at first glance wasn't noticeable. 10 years later, still gives me pain, especially in cold weather 🤦
